Agreed, this is the one aspect that my kids care about. I released a 2017 Jaguar that had heated rear seats and spoiled the kids. I presume it would invalidate at least a portion of the warranty to have heaters installed after market??

I'm not sure what part of the warranty it would void having seat heaters installed in the rear seats. I had it done to my 2007 F-150 and 2014 Escape and never had an issue with the seat heaters or the warranty. I can't see what those heaters would affect on the vehicle to cause an issue.

Yeah, I'm just guessing they will look for any excuse to void it.

I ordered a USB heated shoal/blanket from Amazon for my daughter. It plugs into the usb port in the centred conceal in the back.
I love my heated blanket but I'll have to buy another for the rear because in the winter my wife and I like to drape it over our legs in the front. It also is a handy range-extender.

They would have to prove that whatever issue you are having with the vehicle was caused by the seat heaters you installed.

Seriously, I don’t think that any Ford vehicles offer heated seats. They are available on some of the higher trim Lincolns. (And we are still waiting for that electric Lincoln ?)
Heated seats are common in Ford vehicles. In fact, I'm more than a little irritated that the '25 Mach-E still doesn't have heated rear seats and learned this after placing the order for or '25 Premium. The detail somehow slipped by in all the other things. It also didn't help that we had someone tell us the rear seats were now heated along with the cooling/ventilation being added for the fronts. With the exception of our Bronco Sport and XL trim F-150s for company use, every Ford we've owned since 2008 has had heated rear seats... The Mache-e not having them is lame, especially given the concern over range in cold weather.

It would not violate any part of the warranty as per the Magnuson-Moss Act. Now if you splice into wiring they could deny coverage for the wiring harness or bundle you spliced into, but that's it. I don't know about in the MME, but most vehicles have an accessible 12V power tap under their rear seats or in the rear of the cabin somewhere. So it's easy to just plug into it.

This always bugged me, because Ford tried to argue their inadequate cabin heating in temps well below freezing could be addressed by using the heated seats and steering wheel - and then didn't even give everyone heated seats.

Sadly, Ford only seems to be removing features in the Mach E these days.
Oh, it’s not just the Mach-E, don’t worry. They apparently even deleted SecuriCode (the door keypad) from the F-150 for 2025. Your only option is now a stick on wireless one from the dealer.

mach-e was given the bean counter treatment
The Mach E came out over priced, has dropped significantly in price, and is still probably over priced.

Personally I am glad some bean counter decided to not make the Mach E a 100k+ vehicle.

From what I see, only the highest trim levels of Explorer and Expedition have heated rear seats. I’d like heated rear seats, but I don’t see Ford adding them.

May be true for current models. We had heated rear seats in XLT trims in the past. The bean counters obviously don’t have friends to drive around and don’t care about their kids.
