Hello everyone, so week or so back had a issue with my Mach E which resulted in a parking prawl change but now after repairs they are saying there are 4 new codes that have appeared and car won’t start again. Ford tech coming out from headquarters but can anyone check my VIN again?

Since they fixed the issue causing the vehicle to get stuck in park, the only code it is reporting as of today is this one:

This code is not new though. Your car has been reporting it for the past 60 days which is how long codes are stored in the cloud. You car has actually been reporting a lot of codes over the past 60 days, but today, only this one. Not sure why they need an FSE to troubleshoot this, but I digress. It could just be the service advisor buying some time.

Edit: @Mike G messaged me and noticed that code was reported on the 13th and not current. We can't tell what the issue is without knowing what the current codes are.

thanks. They stated that the battery was dead before they ran or saw codes so maybe that’s why it doesn’t appear? I’ll keep ya’ll updated.

Getting ready to do a 1,800 mile trip (900/900) tomorrow. Wondering if someone could please check if anything looks weird before I take off. Thank you.

Hey friends - while I wait for an appointment for a stuck gear shifter that started yesterday, wondering if someone could run my VIN and see if it is throwing codes. Every time I drive now it takes restarting the car 3-8 times to get the shifter to work. Still improving my technical knowledge but I am included in the Service Update announced yesterday as well - but dont think that is related.

12V battery is at 11.9V and 62% SOC. So a nice long drive should sort that out. Your tire pressures are 4psi (roughly) low at each corner due to the cold I suspect.

I don't see anything else that would be a problem unless you're seeing something specific on your end.

Zero codes relating to the GSM. Car is not reporting anything at all about that.

Also, you have one of the cars that although it is included in the CSP..it currently does not have an update for the SOBDM available to program. So don't be surprised if the shop doesn't do that update since they will be specifically looking for a SOBDM update to apply, and you don't have one.

Make sure you are stepping on the brake pedal hard enough before pressing the start button and trying to shift it into gear? Not seeing any codes related to that. Verify you see the green "READY" message at the bottom of the display before shifting into gear. If you don't press the brake pedal or not hard enough, it won't start or shift.

Well, it's highly doubtful all of this arrived overnight:

Hi would you mind checking mine too please ?? I'm a new GT 2023 owner but I don't believe the dealer/service centre did any updates when they sold it to me.

Many thanks

So from what another NZ member said...they don't do OTAs there? Is that correct?

If so are Ford of NZ willing to catch you up by applying all the updates (optimally starting with the Additional Updates list at the bottom of the table)? Because your car is behind.

If they aren't doing the OTAs that most of us are getting, they ought to at least be willing to get you current using FDRS. All those updates in the Additional Updates section would have come as OTAs here in North America, as well as a significant number of the ones in the table above that.

Some awesome members here have signed up for an FDRS account and have offered to run VINs and show what module updates are available for their Mach-E. Those offers can get buried in a thread, and I thought a stand-alone post might get more attention and be easier to spot the offer.

Two forum members have been exceptionally helpful to me, and I want to give a shout-out and pay it forward. @kltye and @breeves002 answered a bunch of my silly questions as I purchased a Bosch MasterTech II and a PL6100 battery maintainer... and my 11 module update went flawless last night because of them.

For those that don't know, a Ford FDRS license can be purchased for as few as 2 days for $50, all the way up to a year for quite a bit more. I have a 2-day license expiring Sunday (10-10-21) evening. If you would like me to run your VIN, I'm happy to run as many as I can. In off-line mode, it will show what modules have a software update available. No codes or anything like that show since you need to be hooked up to the vehicle to pull them.

My thought is that since there seems to be a handful of us willing to purchase the 2-day FDRS license, it would be great to share the resource before spending the money to check for an available update.

If you are interested, you can post here or send me a private message with your VIN, and I'll send you a screenshot of your FDRS screen. Again, my license expires Sunday (10-10-21) in the evening.

If you have FDRS access and are willing to look up another forum member's Mach-E details, post in this thread with the time period that your license is active.

Thank you, any idea what those do, what's important? Which one would update the Google maps to allow arrival % etc

You currently do not show any updates to the gateway or APIM (Sync) that might enable that function. You do however have several GVMS data blocks on your powertrain modules and ACM (radio). The GVMS blocks may be preventing the powertrain updates from appearing, which in turn, theoretically could be preventing the appearance of further GWM, APIM and TCU updates that would bring your Sync system current.

The last time saw something like this was on my own truck after performing some FORSCAN mods. I fixed it using FDRS.

Is there any way to remove those?
