Hard to say exactly what will happen until it happens. And even if/when it happens they might say sike just kidding and reverse it 2 days later with how this administration has been doing things.Anyone concerned with the 25% tariff's going into effect on Tuesday? I was hoping to locate one (and maybe still can that will be in the US by then headed to dealer stock.
I know I'm not buying a MachE if the tariff increases the price. Fun times!
A lot of us aren't going to complete a major purchase like this if the price goes up due to tariffs. And this is going to help the country how?Anyone concerned with the 25% tariff's going into effect on Tuesday? Exactly! Incredibly dumbA lot of us aren't going to complete a major purchase like this if the price goes up due to tariffs. And this is going to help the country how?
I agree, if there is a 25% tariff I probably will cancel my order. My deposit is refundable though. That R2 Rivian is getting closer all the time, and made in the US. The MME cost with tariff would be similar to Rivian without tariff though (maybe), so there's that ?Anyone concerned with the 25% tariff's going into effect on Tuesday? They likely still get various components from Canada and/or Mexico. The Hyundai Ioniq 5 is a Korean EV built in USA that won’t get a tariff as of today. The car is somewhat similar to the MME. If the MME jumps up 25% in price, I’ll really need to look into Korean cars instead of American.
I had the same question and was directed to this forum over at Edmunds. They were able to provide that info.Do any of you with Mach E's ordered plan on leasing, and have been able to get numbers for money factor and residual value percentages from your dealer? We are looing at ordering a 2025 GT, and 2 different dealers are telling me they have no lease information available on the 25's yet.
Any way you look at it, people like me will just abort and not make the purchase and wait until things improve. Again, how is this a good thing? They likely still get various components from Canada and/or Mexico.
Even if they the Ioniq5 isn’t directly affected by the tariffs they will probably increase prices still. Because if they see competitors like the MME and Blazer EV (and Prologue) have to hike prices 25%, they can hike theirs 20% and still undercut the others. Or they will hike prices on unaffected models to help absorb the cost of affected cheaper ICE models built in Mexico.
Maybe a good thing for TeslaAny way you look at it, people like me will just abort and not make the purchase and wait until things improve. Again, how is this a good thing?

Funny how that works.... As a previous Tesla owner, I'll NEVER own one again.Maybe a good thing for Tesla![]()
