2022 Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD
I just bought a 2022 MME Premium AWD. It was a leased vehicle and the previous person put about 22,000 miles on. They turned it into the dealer in December 2024 and I bought it in early February 2025. I've loved it so far, BUT...

In doing more research to see how everything works and going through all the screens in the car, I went into software updates, and I just get a message that says "Getting the latest software update status...(This may take a minute or two)." And then nothing ever happens. I've tried on cellular network with wifi off, I've tried on wifi, I tried soft rebooting the infotainment screen, and nothing! I'm not comfortable yet doing a factory reset or monkeying with the 12V battery connection as some forum posts suggest.

My FordPass app doesn't even show me any details about software updates and the ford.com/support page for my vehicle says that it's been more than 90 days since software has been updated so there's nothing to show. In the sync updates and navigation updates section of the website it does say that there are updates needed, but I can't take any action from there.

I plan to call Ford OTA number to see what they can tell me and maybe I'll have to return to the dealer to get them to fix something so that updates will actually load to show me! In the meantime, if someone could look up my VIN, I'd be grateful!

Don't bother calling Ford. This is a known issue after a recent GWM update and your car got a GWM OTA on 1/25. Disconnect the negative battery cable from your 12v battery for 20 minutes and reconnect it. After that, when you check for updates, it will get past that screen.

If you have FORScan, you can try a GWM reboot, but if that doesn't work, the battery pull is necessary.

Just had my dealer perform the 25-2049 TSB and I'm curious what remaining updates I might be behind on. VIN 3FMTK4SX1NMA24199. Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

Can you look up 12v battery SOC of

3FMTK1RM0NMA28500

My Focscan reported 70% last night. I'd like to see how real it is. It's only driven a few miles since it's checked last night.
Thank you.

Just leased my '24 Mach E Premium AWD, waiting for the ODB dongle to jump into Forscan, been a few years since I played with it on an F-150....The Mach E was on the lot for quite a while, so I'm curious if it's missing anything.

can I get a software check for: 3FMTK3SU7RMA48643

So, I was put in contact with my dealer's supposed tech guru, or whatever it's called, and I mentioned and shared the screenshot that Mike provided weeks ago after checking my vin. I explained that ota's are pending and I asked about that TSB that was announced last week.

The reply was, "I spoke with our service manager. The snap shop you send it's from a computer software Reynolds and Reynolds. We don't use it. However I put the vin number of your vehicle into the the Ford Data directly - there is no pending recalls. You may contact Ford directly as well and give them your vehicle identification number. There phone.."

Did she mean Johnson and Johnson? Laugh.
I've come to learn thanks to treekie that the road to ota's is a long and mysterious one, and that we shall take them when we get them.

But, is her comment correct in that they see a different system than you do Mike?

R&R is an ADM (automotive dealer management) program that some dealers use, but that is more of an accounting program; not a service department tool. That is a ridiculous statement Funny, but ridiculous.

I haven’t gotten an update since October or so, but I was up to date at the time.

Between BC 1.3 and the TSB that is also going out OTA I’m wondering if I’ve got problems or my luck just hasn’t come in. Could someone please check?

It's ridiculous, but either scary or infuriating. Scary, if your tech doesn't recognize the screenshot. Infuriating, if he's just blowing smoke at a customer because he can.
