Hi, when I start my car, I can hear a very high sound from running water in pipes. Like if you are filling an empty radiator. Can it be due to air in the cooling system or the aircondition system. Do I need to worry, or is it normal?

It can also be the washer fluid line to the rear window. I can usually hear that sloshing around for a day or two after using, and it sounds like it is coming from the top of the door window frame.

I am curious how you can hear the windshield washer fluid in the reservoir sloshing around when it is located in the very front of the car right behind the left headlamp. I only hear water running through the coolant hoses like others have mentioned. The rear washer fluid line running to the rear of the car is thinner than the size of a pencil so not sure one can hear fluid sloshing in such a small tube.

He said the hose that takes water to the rear nozzle, not the reservoir.

Yes and I added that the line running to the rear is thinner than a pencil so not sure how one can hear water sloshing in a tube that small. It is a closed system and unless the pump to the rear is active, water will not move in that tube. It is no big deal, just was wondering....

I've owned this car over two years and just learned there was a rear window washer.

My car is doing the water sound too. Yes, it's sounds like water running through lines... when I start the car. I never noticed it until after the contactor recall was done. Wonder if they did not top off the fluid.

I had this issue early on and again shortly after having my battery lowered a second time and a pair of cells replaced. The are 2 cooling circuits with 2 reservoirs....very complex plumbing loops/valves/pumps and require careful bleeding/filling. My last service tech didn't fill it properly and it was very noisy....once properly bled/filled no more noise.
