My 22 got this Wednesday and today my LVB died, but that could be more related to being 2 weeks away from it's 3rd birthday.

Is there an updated thread on how to care for the LVB? I have searched but it’s a lot of threads of dead batteries. I want to know how to avoid my battery going bad on my 2.5 year old ‘22. Do you just put a new one in? Seems absurd

Would be covered by warranty, so get it in before the time runs out.

Good idea, but I simply replaced it myself since it was a Fri afternoon and I didn't want to be without my car over the weekend.

Question though, is the battery warranty like tires where they prorate? So perhaps I wouldn't get much back?

Not sure. I just heard that the 12v tends to fail around the 3 year mark, so as a final ask to the dealer to do updates before my warranty was up, I asked them to check the battery. They said it failed their test, so was replaced under warranty. They told me the 12v battery has its own 3 year warranty, so I’ll bring it back before 6 years and I’ll see if it’s faulty too.

Wow usually battery only has 1 year OEM warranty.

You can recondition your battery (see below topic), but yes you should replace it at 3 years to avoid issues.

Factory 3YR warranty is free replacement. After that, the replacement battery is a prorated warranty, so you will not be getting another free battery.

The information in Ford Pass for automatic updates and scheduled updates do not match.

My phone said autoupdates was turned off. I checked the car and it's on. Fordpass says no schedule. The car has a schedule for 3am every day?

I guess I should believe the car.
I'll reboot the phone and see if that changes anything.
I have an open case with Ford right now for this same issue. To their credit, they're calling me every 3-4 days to let me know they're still working on. Apparently this is a larger system-wide issue.

I got 5.15 yesterday (android), appears to have fixed this issue.
Just got the update as well that fixed the issue but now introduced another bug. I cannot change charge level to 90%. I can set 85% and any value above 95%. In between these two ranges will snap to 85% or 95%.

I'm sure I can change in the car, but this is frustrating.

Weird. It looks like it can be set to 90 if you tap target charge further down on that tab.

I can change the solder to 90%. It's when you save that it changes to something other than 90%.

That's odd. I tried changing to 85 then back to 90 (saving in between) and it worked fine.

This is a big update if it works.

I’m a little skeptical that tweaking the GWM is gonna fix the battery management system, but obviously Ford is in a better position than me to figure this out.
I've seen bigger 12v batteries on lawnmowers! Doesn't help that the software is junk that supports the 12v battery.
