I've joined the jail bars club on my 2023 Premium. I know it was working last month and I've had zero FDRS software updates since November. Wondering if this happened with the 10.1.1 OTA update and I just didn't notice? Anyone have a fix or should I just accept the party is over?

That's odd. I still have a fully functioning power meter in my 2023 Premium with 10.1.1 OTA.

Do you ever update via FDRS? Are you on the latest 10.1.1 OTA update? I'm pretty sure mine stopped working after the 10.x OTA updates

Nope, never updated via FDRS. I received both 10.1.0 and 10.1.1 OTA last November. I enabled the power meter with FORScan the month prior to getting those updates. I never ended up getting jail bars, thankfully.

That said, I fully expect a future update to nerf my meter, eventually.

2024 Select AWD LFP (late 2024 year build).

I have enabled it and it works perfectly. Grey bars vary depending on battery temp and SoC. The lowest amount i've seen is 1 grey bar. keep in mind its winter so the battery is always under 20c.

I'm gonna enable it on my brothers 2024 Premium ER AWD tonight as well.

Well, came looking before I made a post asking if someone knew how to fix it, and see I have joined a club of people without a solution.

I recently added the power meter to my ‘21 Premium. The green lights up for regen, but I’ve never seen any bars show up, ever. Even after flooring it it. Is that whats missing for people now? I’ve got all the new updates and dont see any change to it.

Few more thoughts for people doing this in 2025:
- "AS Built" not needed anymore (see screenshot below) Perhaps we could update the OP post @breeves002 when you have time.
- Compatible even with 2021 Job 1 , so it's just down to IPC version. Just check your VIN to ensure your IPC is up to date (thank you @rugedraw for checking my pending updates)
- Compatible with 10.1.0 (which was installed before I began)
- Does not get overwritten with 10.1.1 (which installed via OTA after I turned on the Power Meter).

This mod is pretty much dead because the power bar no longer works with the current powertrain software. Just shows gray bars like many others are reporting.

So, what OTA update nerfs the power bar? The power bar in my '23 Premium is still working normal. Afaik, my software is up-to-date.?‍♂

I have a 23.5 ER AWD that is fully updated via FDRS and had enabled the power meter via forscan roughly a year ago. On a recent 50+ mile drive I noticed that I had partial jail bars on my power meter but not sure how that happened.

  1. I thought that the power meter didn't show reduced power a non-GT car? I thought it was only recharge and acceleration only?
  2. The reduced power showed in 50+ degree weather while driving with BC near the tail end of my drive. Speeds were around 55+ MPH. Is this normal?
  3. The jail bars didn't disappear over night but did go away after a DCFC session which I take is normal, but again from question 1, this shouldn't happen on my Premium version, right?
  4. Also, why is my power meter still working when it seems that this broke for other users who had this enabled?
