@markboris , did you have chance to install BSKT hoods?
No I haven’t. That and spoilers I’ve never had to install. Custom steering wheels, center air bag covers and arm rests, carbon fiber dash, door and console trims, lighted front/rear ponies/GT emblems and GT grills on front bumpers is what I’ve installed from BSKT.

BSKT is not sketchy. However the US is not their market. They have been selling Mach-E parts since the Mach-E came out but only barely a year in US. Their main market is China and Europe. Miguel used to run sales here like Simon does for EV-Vida but he no longer can do this because of personal reasons. Bruce is having to do it all now and that is a lot of work. I've been working with them and purchasing parts for the last couple years (before they even had a presence here). The only issues I've had is the shipping every once and awhile. I've had items held up in customs (steering wheels mainly) but have always gotten through it. Simon over at EV-Vida is also a great guy to deal with. I have installed several of his ambient lighting systems in Mach-E's and when I've had issues, he has been great to deal with.
This past Tuesday (or thereabouts) our POTUS ended the "de minimis" exemption that excluded/exempted the "beautiful" tariffs from purchases under $800. Buckle-up.

I’ll post if this affects any of my parts I have coming in the next few months.

Thanks for doing that. (In anticipation of the exemption ending, as a "conversation piece" and part and parcel with another [very] late "mid-life crisis," I ordered a high-end Chinese-made basketball that was relatively too-expensive @ $50, then. Took over a month to get it. It now will cost $145 and who knows if it'll ever arrive).

I don’t have either but BSKT seems sketchy to me, the ads and online presence seems off, and when you look them up online google says they are permanently closed and their FB page hasn’t posted in awhile. Simon runs the ev-vida so trust him way more and if you are southern CA he helps with install.
Google says that lisbon distributor is closed, Bskt is a China company with over 15 years experience in carbon parts to Lamborguini and Porshe ... now Mach-e. Yes we had a guy that had more presence then all other groups together, now i am looking a guy to do that work, from the fact is "sketchy" go ask our 500 mach-e clients what they think, if you love Ev-vida and Simon dont talk about what you dont know please. Better have carefull with your words sir, that can configure defamation

Hello Forum!

This may be a reach, but does anyone have experience with both of these front lit ponies? I am trying to determine if there's a discernable quality/illumination difference between the two. Or, as I suspect, are they both from the same manufacturer and just sold separately by these two on-line retailers? I remember both had V1 versions that had issues and now both have "improved" V2 versions, which leads me to believe this may be the case. The installation process seems to be the same for both. Price point is a slight concern, but I'm more interested in quality as I don't want to have to do this again if the one I install fails.

Also, is there a 3rd (or 4th) option to these two? I can only find the BSKT and EV-Vida offerings.

Here are the links:

ILLUMINATED – Bskt Design

Mustang Mach E Front Lit Pony (Plug-n-play) LED Emblem V2 (Back in sto – EV-Vida

Thanks all
Just this 2 companies do the ponies, and no we dont have nothing to do with that company and ARE NOT from the same manufacturer for sure

Maybe this would be a good topic for @Mach-E VLOG ? Patrick and Liv could do an unbiased comparison of the installation, appearance, and experience with the products from both companies?

We only have direct experience with EV-Vida and Simon. Our illuminated GT logo is from EV-Vida and I love it. Because we are in SoCal where Simon is located, we know a lot of people that have used their products and they give high praise to EV-Vida & Simon. From what I have seen, Simon goes above and beyond when it comes to supporting the products and the customer.

That being said, I have seen a few people with BSKT products and they are really happy with them as well.

In the end, we're just lucky to have two companies making some great products.

Thanks Patrick! I was just thinking that there seems to be a lot of demand for a head-to-head product comparison and you were the first name that came to mind (as well as probably the most informative/enjoyable)

Had the running pony puddle lights from EV Vida and although I’m in UK they were really helpful with supply, shipping & the support I needed through my own fault.

The product’s great, the instructions are super.

Just in process of ordering v2 front & rear lit Ponies when the rear ones are back in stock mid May for a little project that I may not get the chance to do until retirement at end of August.

Car’s still going great at 4 years and 113,000 miles so will probably keep it for another year to benefit from the add-ons.
