So here’s how the story goes.

was on a road trip and all of a sudden the car wouldn’t connect to the internet using the public charging app, had to activate via the FordPass but the location of the vehicle was not updating. Tried several soft resets but did not work. Was recommended to do a master reset and delete the car from the FordPass and reinstall the app. Decided to wait until I get home.

After the master reset and reinstalling the app, I sign in on my phone and now I can’t add the vehicle back to the ford pass. Frustrated I went to get a bite to eat and on the way home I get notification that gave me the hint it was connected to the internet; not exactly sure what it was.

all of a sudden I’m able to get the car back on the ford pass and everything works as normal except a few nuances. It’s not showing the charge rate correctly and the location won’t change. Called ford and they said something with the modem is likely the problem.

anyone able to help me out? Nothing is showing under connected features as well.

Can someone with FDRS look up my car and let me know if anything weird pops up?

you're better off posting in the fdrs thread as that's what it's for and the people that have access might not see this post.

I believe there's a thread on this recently which also states you can accomplish it by unplugging the 12v battery

additionally, this is thread that discusses this issue which has useful info.

Like was mentioned, pull fuse 21/22 - I had this happen once and that fixed it immediately. The other option is to pull the negative off the 12v battery, but that’s a little more effort than the fuse.
