Idk if I'm the weird one for thinking this, but does anyone else think it's weird that we don't get a spare/temporary tire if we get a flat? My car only came with the mobile charger and portable air pump, which I assume is also standard for everyone.

Also, my insurance considers my MME as a truck due to its weight and my rates have changed to match that, but ironically Ford F-150 does not "weight enough" to classify as a truck under the same method? ? I'm officially a truck driver I guess lol

These cars don’t have a spare, but that’s pretty standard these days now unfortunately. I haven’t had a spare in my cars since 2009. It is what it is.

Oh wow, I didn't know that was standard these days ? Both the 2016 Fiesta (my partner's) and 2018 Impreza came with spares, which was why I was confused. This is only my 2nd car and I haven't looked under other people's trunks, so I thought spares were pretty standard up to this point.

Yeah, really common to not have spares these days. So they give us the tire inflator pump, which is handy I guess. Spares are really only common on larger SUVs, trucks, or more off-road oriented vehicles now. The federal government requires that new vehicles come with a solution for flat tires and it has to be accessible or usable throughout the mandated warranty period. It does not specify what the solution must be, but this means it can be roadside assistance, a pump and patch kit, or whatever, not just a spare. ...For 2025, Ford is no longer including a spare with the F-150, it's now an extra cost option if the customer wants it!

I carried a spare in my 2021 Mach-E. It fit in the rear under the tray. See modernspare.com I traded my 2021 for a 2025 Mach-E GT. I still have the spare if anyone wants to buy it.

It is not really just an air pump, it's a fluid pump. It pumps sealer into the tire along with more air.

Never got the "delivered" status with mine. It changed to "shipped" status and Ford gave us an email when that happened. Seems to be when it was finally on the transport trailer for that last-mile journey to the dealership. Then about the same time the car was received at the dealership, the web tracking told me that the VIN and order number did not match an order in their system, and it still says that. We took delivery 8 days ago.

Good question! I realize now that the time listed, is after the time when my dealer called me to tell me they found my car in the back lot. I showed up about 16:00 at the dealer to buy it.
