It's called a front splitter. It's an aerodynamic aid that produces downforce. The reason that the rear wing and the splitter are so gigantic is due to the altitude the car was designed to race at. Thinner air creates less downforce than air at sea level. ??

Jim..... for the first time in almost 5 years, I am going to disagree with you! I think it's an extremely beautiful car! So much so I have to see it in person. ?

If the 7 month development time is true, that is miraculous. I spent 25 years in OEM (not Ford) product development, so I'm skeptical.... ?

Regardless, it's an impressive effort. Will be fun to see what it does on the hill. ?
