Oh yeah the regen, two Escape hybrids, one Escape PHEV and now A Mach e gt, haven't had a brake job since I got rid of my 98 Tahoe in 2008.

The battery is a more ore less standard Ford sized battery, but there are no aftermarket battery companies currently manufacturing a battery to that set of dimensions. ?‍?

That's why I said "more or less." While the BAGMH3 is a standard size, the only manufacturer that seems to make it is Motorcraft. ?‍?

AC Delco Makes a similar sized battery but its dimensions are different enough that it's not a direct fit and it has a different capacity and output. It's different enough so that while it will more or less work it's not ideal. ??

As much as you like it you can't wait for the lease to expire? That really makes no sense at all.

The number of people who spend many hours of their life panicking about a potential issue is much higher than the number of people who have said issue.

Looks like they've put 25S65 on the FSA list of updates requiring verification when it's completed.....and the software isn't out yet.

Admittedly, it's the only FSA software requirement that exists for this vehicle (at this point) and obviously the software isn't yet available, but this shows what the tech will have to select to confirm that the powertrain modules were properly updated...whenever they do roll out the update.

I'm hoping for the former, but frankly, wouldn't be surprised at the latter.

I just don't want the Mach-E to suffer a months-long sales crash to zero due to this self-inflicted wound that Ford should've resolved before it got to the point of a recall. A lot of EVs will be sold between now and late September. A few thousand of them should be Mach-Es.

My car (ordered in February) was stuck in production until this issue could be solved. It was released earlier this week. Now it just needs to travel to my dealership (weeks?)

More disappointing are those that might forfeit their enjoyment of the car as a result.
It's such an amazing vehicle. Especially when I experience it solely as a 70 year old automotive enthusiast. Comparing my current vehicles to the many others I've owned over the decades, they would all be Science Fiction not that long ago. To replace the MARVEL with angst is so unfortunate.

Same here. 68 year old with 67 year old wife of 48 years. 24 Lightning Lariat and 25 Mach E GT. Very happy. Amazing tech and performance. And I was a Tech at a Chevy Dealership for 22 years plus 18 at a Motorsports Dealership before retiring, so I've seen the evolution of ICE vehicles over the years first hand. EV's are in my experience and opinion is the logical tech to transition into.

Motorcraft is about half the price of the Die Hard.

Autozone is also quite proud of their Duralast H3:

I got the Motorcraft from Rock Auto for $138.55 delivered to my door. I took the core back to Autozone and received a $10 store credit. Seemed like a better deal than shipping the core back to Rock Auto.

I just got a call from the dealer. The recall has been lifted, I can pick the car up as soon as tomorrow. (2025 Mach-E Premium). It's also showing as resolved on Ford's Website
