I had a guy come out and he quoted $650.00 to put the Ford Charger in - the circuit breaker is on the outside of our garage wall and would go straight through the wall with the front of the car about 7' ahead of where the unit would mount - so plenty of length on the cord.
That seems a bit high. I got a quote for that (punching through the wall and no cable runs) that was around $300. I ended up running the wire to the front wall of the garage (about 40'), so that was considerably more, around $800.

How much is your electrician charging? I had a guy come out today and quoted $1600. And that was just for the electrical run to the location. Not including the charger. The run is 12 foot from my electrical panel. $1600 is a whole lot of money for 13 feet of wire, and some conduit and a breaker.
Get multiple quotes.

My electrician charged $850 for about a 14 foot run in the garage to a temporary 240V plug (will be replaced with the charge station), and moving some circuits from my main panel to my subpanel so he could put the 50/60A circuit in my main panel.

My biggest problems will be a mounting surface (my garage isn't "finished" just exposed studs, and it's pretty narrow, so i'd like to know how far out the Ford Connected Charge Station will protrude.

Out here in SoCal I was charged 550 for like 15 ft run from the panel and it is all inclusive of parts

I'm not sure why the first two rows say "Invalid, default 48A, 60A CB" ... I took that to mean it's an invalid setting. If that's true, I'd rather they just say "invalid" or "don't use".

And then ... EIGHT (count 'em) different patterns that all result in 48A, 60A CB (which is what I wanted). Why eight? I sort of took that to mean that if D1 is ON then you get 48A, 60A CB ... regardless of the settings of D2 through D4.
The Ford EVSE is probably based off another Webasto EVSE model that has more configuration option. Otherwise, there is no need to have so many DIP switches for the options that they have,

So much for being a "smart" charger that can be configured with an app... not user friendly at all, but I guess it's a hardwired model so it's install once and forget about it?

Chargepoint Flex, as comparison, is configurable all through the app.

An electrician just came out and installed 2 extra outlet boxes around my house, and rearranged breakers so he could pull 240V for fast charger. Oh- also installed a generator input connector (SCE outages...) $1070 for all.

Do you have any images of the lights lit up, it on the wall, or it charging? Would also like to see the sizing and how far it sticks out. Did you put the little hanger it comes with on the wall too?
I plan to move the holster ... that's temporary. But here it is on the wall.

It is noticeably larger than my ChargePoint Home Flex ... and sticks out more too. I can take some measurements (tomorrow) and post the numbers if that would be helpful.

Thank you @SAVAGE and @TheVirtualTim!!!

SAVAGE since yours isn't mounted yet, would you mind measuring the metal plate for us? (It's outer dimensions and the inner rectangle, as well.)

Were there any other points of interest in the manual?

I'd really like to see a photo of the specifications page where it shows the operating temperature range.

I'm happy to see that it works down to 16/20A as well as 40/50A settings. This gives me much more flexibility for my garage's current circuitry than just the 48/60A default.

Also, it looks a bit smaller than I'd originally thought (that's a good thing).

I know some people were looking for confirmation that a bottom knockout is available for bottom feeding the supply conduit.

nice ? unit .. congratulations..

We went with the ChargePoint home .. we also have a Audi eTron as well and needed a charger ASAP .. I wonder if the Ford charger can be setup to only log when charging the MME and ignore when charging non MME?

No way would I want max current software configurable. I like the dip switches.

I can see some 16 year old deciding he wants to charge the car faster and ups the amps in the application and pulls 48amps on a 30amp wire, the breaker fails and burns the house down.

I can see this piece of raw tin getting eaten by salt air in a few years. I will have to hit it with some rust-oleum before mounting.

I like some other EVSE's approach of both DIP switches and software configurable. Those use the DIP switch setting as the max amperage, the EVSE cannot pull more power than what those are set at. From it's software though, you can lower the max amperage if desired. Little use case for this option, but it's nice to have for some folks.

based off the feedback earlier in the thread, that's exactly what they're for

Here's a pro tip, when getting multiple quotes don't mention electric car at all, tell them you're going to move your dryer to your garage and need that wired up. You should be able to mount the charger by yourself if you choose to do so or just tell them when they are there.

Here is my feeble attempt at showing the size of the mounting bracket. Later today I will attempt to scan the manuals and post them on here.
