Please tidy up the forum a bit

This is more sort of a forum feedback, but could not find an off topic / various / feedback section of the forum.

Either way, see attached image. Is this the intended reader experience? Most, correction: ALL of my view is filled with crap. an we at least see something without having adds into our faces?

Not run by Ford. This is a community forum. Yes, as revenue is needed to keep it running. Many model specific forums are like this. Don’t like it, you don’t have to visit.

Most forums have and need ads, but it’s possible to be intelligent about it. A banner in top and every third or fourth post in a conversation / string of messages as an add, perfectly normale and not invasive. Currently I have to scroll more than an entire phone screen to see “not an add”. In addition it is a waste of our data packages on our phone when most of the traffic is adds.

Alternatively, let us pay a small amount to prevent adds. I’m all down for such a financial model.

Use an ad blocker. The Mach E Club forum has an add free subscription, why don’t we? They’re annoying for sure. I’m not as bothered to spend money on it though.

Not really thought about it, don’t bother me too much, it’s the new stories by advertisers which I could do without but still won’t let it spoil my life?

I certainly understand the need for ad revenue, as a business it is a necessity. However, I would welcome the option for a subscription model to remove ads, similar to what MacRumors offer.

I'm with you Tom. I use Ad Block One and I view a very clean forum. No ad photos, videos, nothing.

But doesn’t it defeat the purpose? I wanted to support them (I honestly believed this was Ford’s official forum), either by some adds or small amount each month, but, instead they make it so obnoxious that people just block everything with blockers :/

Wouldn’t that make the ad’s more unacceptable. Why would I need to give Ford AD revenue for Free Dating sites after giving them $50k for a vehicle.

What kind of advertisers pay to show ads that will be seen mainly by people who are not clever enough to block the ads?

Ranger trucks and Scout EV forums, apparently. It does appear that the advertising business model could use some improvement...
