I was about to order a 15” rear wiper which is a popular upgrade. But looking at the rear of my car, the wiper suspiciously already looked like the longer ones people have installed. Took out a tape measure and it indeed measured 15”.

Looking at Ford parts, it does list a different part number (WW1510 or LJ8Z17528G) for cars made after 12/04/2024.

Yeah, I put a 16” on my 2024. It looks perfect for the glass contour and works very well. The stock 13” looked like a joke next to the other one. Not sure why it took me so long to upgrade!

When parked, does the very end of the blade contact the screen?

It does, even with a 16”. That was what I was watching for.

?

Just checked, the Bosch 16” is the one I fitted, didn’t remember it being that big, and it is an improvement.

For those asking, here’s how the 16” fits.

Why do so many CUVs ship with the 5” ones by default? They’re a joke.

I upgraded mine based on advice here years ago.

Glad to see they’re coming saner out of the factory now.

Many don't come with one. Tesla Model Y and X do not have rear wipers. Hyundai Ionic 5 and Kia EV 6 don't either and there are others. I removed mine on my '24. Never used it once in the 4 years I drove both of my '21's.

I have a 16" on my 2022 (GT, not that it matters) and it works fine. I think a small portion of the lower right side (as viewed from the rear) is not wiped, but it is outside the field of view so I don't care.

I live in Seattle. Rear wipers almost always necessary
