In case this helps anyone else who's been in 'in production' limbo for weeks like mine, received built email this morning.
Batch 3587 in production since 1/5 but modules populated 1/17 which is date now listed. New Est delivery 3/19!!! Worse than those on chip hold haha

GT non-PE all options
Cool data point. My modules populated 1-15. I wonder what chip(s) are missing.

I also called Ford Customer Care this morning. At first I was told the same thing I can see on the web site - in production since 5 Jan. and expected delivery date of 9 Feb. I pushed a little, asking if the car was complete or on hold for chips and was told she thinks it is complete and the location shows as "ramp". She said that means it is waiting to ship. I'm taking this info with an enormous gain of salt.

It is a DMG Premium AWD ER. Batch 3372 233/630. Atlanta.
Mine is the batch 3372 509/630. Seattle. GB Premium AWD ER. No change on my 1/6 production with estimated del of 2/11.

I called Ford Customer Service again yesterday. This call confirmed that my car is not complete and is at the plant waiting for chips. She could not give me any idea of how long the wait will be. It went into production on 5 Jan. Status is still in production and the estimated delivery date of 9 Feb to Atlanta has not changed. Batch 3372 - 233/630, DMG Premium AWD ER.

It seems that the information you get from Ford Customer Service depends on who gets the call.

Yes, MY22. Premium, ER, RW, Grabber Blue. Ordered 7/10/2021, Ford switched to MY2022 in Oct/Nov. Build week 01/03/2022 - Batch 3316 279/540. We did end up getting the $2k price increase for the MY22. Ford offered a $750 credit when they notified us of plan to push our order into the next year.

I also asked the sales guy at Ford about the extended warranty for the MME. He sounded pretty clueless about that as well, and wouldn't really discuss it. I read something on another thread about a 6 year extended warranty which ran around $675, but he cut off the conversation before I could ask.

You should do some reading on the extended warranty. First, the need for it, or not (the EV components are covered for 8 years / 100,000 miles.

Second, the reality that if you buy it after 12 months / 12,000 miles it only costs $100 more.

Lastly, online Ford dealers like Ziegler and Flood charge way, way less than your dealer will.

And no, you won't pay any price increase...

Third .... using the third party warranty is pain..... It is better to save those money and use them if something happens

Fourth...... 6 years is quite a long period of time. Sometimes those third party warranty companies go bankrupt or just go out of business.

No idea when that was taken, could have been any time in the last year or so.

But yes, that's it, and those sure look like MMEs.

Note also per that, they're "open" 7 days a week, 12 hours weekdays, 14 (!) hours on weekends! Seems unlikely, but Google is the Source Of All Truth, right? ?

Thanks. I will check out the other options you mentioned and do some comparisons before taking the plunge on a warranty. Also, not sure how to go about getting away from the $2k price bump.

You have no price bump. When your dealer goes into the Ford system, he'll see that you have price protection, including the $750 incentive to counteract the change from 21 to 22.

We did change the color option when we were notified of the plan to push our order into 2022. I wonder if making that change voided the price protection? When we got the notification from Ford, we were advised to contact the dealer, which we did. At that point he asked if we wanted to update our order based on available options on the 2022 model year. The only change we made was switching from Rapid Red to Grabber Blue, but maybe that was enough for it be treated as a "new" order, so voided any price protection. I hope not, but will check with the guy at the dealer.

Called Ford Marketing again today. This time they told me that VVR is showing chip hold with same delivery date of 2/25, Why do I think that isn't going to happen in February??
:-(

Are these are cars?? looks like lots of mustangs in the lot. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Planta+Ford+México/@19.6424538,-99.1892196,345m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m5!3m4!1s0x0:0x6b1188b3cd0235da!8m2!3d19.644254!4d-99.1918128
You can't tell if those are MME's. A lot of them look like vans. If you look closely, you can see that there are different size vehicles in both lots. That dark blue is not an MME color.

Just called Ford. The girl said that there's no chip hold on my MME and that it's still scheduled for delivery in February.
Not sure how much I believe that but...
