I think the big thing is to have all your ducks in a row before you get there. Make sure you have the old price printed. Have your trade in appraised and such. The more you have in advance the better, otherwise you may succumb to temptation with the car just sitting there mere feet away.

I'll take this a step further.

Do not leave to pickup your car without a) knowing exactly what the numbers are and b) having your dealership send the paperwork electronically for you to review.

Make sure you thoroughly inspect the car and test drive it before signing anything. Make sure you read every single piece of paper and check every number against what you agreed to.

Dealerships can be a high pressure experience for some. There is zero reason to learn of anything as far as different numbers when you are at the dealership. You can read through every document before you leave your house, and then at the dealership again verify that every document matches what you already read.

My car has arrived! Just got the call today that my CA RT 1 RWD arrived more than two weeks early! The dealer is going to check it out, make sure everything is properly updated, and I'll pick it up on Friday!

P.S. Ordered 8.27, 1/10 build week.
Argg, I'm so jeaslous. My order was placed on 8/18 with the same build week, but Ford's tracking site shows the estimated delivery date in June :-(.

I had all my previous stuff printed out and with me when I went. specifically the Sales order thing the dealership and I signed way back when that has no real useful info except the prices etc we agreed on back then. when Ford bumped the price up and did the 750, I had those printed out but didn't need to use it.

when i talked with them on the phone prior to arriving at the dealership I confirmed all the numbers regarding incentives etc. I didn't talk about price since I wanted to make sure there weren't any funny line items listed on that with my own eyes... Confirmed The 2k off on price protection (1k car bump and extended battery got a 1k bump)... I confirmed they saw the 750 from Ford...

and I let them know at that time I was doing Ford options. When I told them that, they were a bit hesitant because only one person in their finance group had done one of those and I let them know that is what I am using so please make sure they pass on whatever info or do it themselves to get this done.

I also printed the post from hybrid2bev in this thread, just so I made sure the Ford Options was done right, which it was.

Once there I just verified the numbers were right, the amount down + deposit was right, interest rate, terms and mileage... along with the ford option incentives.

I listened, discussed, and declined the extended warranty offered. Confirmed that I may do it in the future, just need to see how the ownership goes up / until close to warranty end.

On a side note, I had planned to see if 120v charging would work for me and how we'd be using the vehicle on a regular daily basis and so far I'm happy to say it is more than enough. It will finish charging in the AM by like 2-4am... though our daily milage is somewhat comical.

For those who picked up, what was your Ford Options rates if you used that to pay? Curious.

I went with the 2.49 and 48 months because I have no clue where battery tech will be in 4 years... if this car will be at or above / below the final balloon we agreed on. Didn't want to spend all that money now and potentially have less of value based on some new tech.

Edit: That all said I love this car and I'm not looking forward to that day :p

They offered me 2.49%, but I haven't actually picked up the vehicle yet and don't know if the dealer will offer me anything better.

Something seems off.

I am working with a dealership and they are saying that Ford is doing 2.9% on 48 month full financing....Ford Options is a nearly 11 percent APR? It feels like something isn't right. I don't think they are trying to screw me over; I just wonder if they are doing something wrong.

If you go through the process of ordering / picking a dealership on the ford site, you can click through the different finance stuff at the top right and see if you can figure out what they're doing - they might be doing ford finance of purchase vs ford options (behaves like a lease but you get the tax credit)

That seems way off. Ask if they will let you apply through the Ford financing site? They may have to associate your name with the vehicle and I'm not sure how that's done. I did our Options application all online.

During the dark hours the blue starts to pop and during the day it seems only silver.
When saw your photos from the dealership, I was thinking "that's like a better version of what we're getting" -- Iconic Silver. Ours is a 21MY, built/"shipped" with ETD of 3/27 - 4/2.

So, somewhat jealous but not going to cry over our's color; we had one just like our TBD baby (except not the extended range battery) pull up next to us at the drive-it-thru/dry-it-yourself carwash. I drooled over it so much almost had to run our car through again.

Extremely jealous that you have yours, NGL. Congrats, enjoy!

Sorry to hear that! Did you order one of the higher end models by chance?

Iconic Silver was our second choice. Initially we wanted whatever that first gray that was discontinued. I was upset when we got bumped from Iconic Silver and extremely nervous that the blue was going to be too blue for my liking, but I think Ford nailed it. I forget who on here was making jokes that it's a drop of the Infinite Blue mixed with the Iconic Silver but it really cannot be that far off from that, at least what I can tell ?
