The fix began on the line for vehicles in progress on May 25 or 26 but definitely by the 27th when my ER AWD Premium was built. GLTA.

The delay of weeks is not in agreement with the fix being just software. Seems if it was only software, the line would have kept producing vehicles - sounds like a part change also with limited pieces available. Restocking / substituting parts would normally take weeks. Unfortunately, once a unit moved through the line with the old part, it was parked as it is hard to put a unit in line for a part that is out of sequence.

So much speculation and guessing.

Just admit no one knows and move on at this point lol

Your thinking makes sense and I think the same way. But you are considering that the software update has been fully ready to roll. Although probable, we haven't had that confirmation yet.
What we know is, according to the recall terms, cars built 5/25 and later are not part of the recall. If they are receiving a software, hardware, or both fixes, we can't say for sure. Or can we??

Either Ford isn't getting updates or my car is stuck in Corpus Christi, Texas. The last update they have was from June 9th. I'm hoping that it has actually moved its way further towards KC by now. Delivery to Cali is still estimated between 7/18 and 7/24.

@pacman7474 - This past February, I had a 2021 CA Rt 1 delivery scheduled (after many delays). On the same day, I received an email from Ford saying it was going to be late another week AND a call from my dealer that it was on their lot ready for me to pick up. Left Hand / Right Hand. ?

Ford also has FAILED to inform their people that the TAX Rebate is nearing the end for the $7500. Keep in mind that the FORD COMPANIES previous Plug in Hybrids. This includes as far back as 2012's Ford Focus Electric and 8 years of Ford Fusion. As of May 20th the IRS DID publish that Mach-e still qualified. So if your dealer has you on HOLD complain Demanding Ford publish the current number of the 200,000 are left. You now compete against the Lightening and the E-Transit. Have been reading the Safety recall 22S41 thread and it looks like a few show no recalls when looking at Ford Etis, but see a Recall notice on the NHTSA recall website.

I just checked and see no recall for my Premium ER RWD built 6/14, so that is good news I guess. ?

If comfortable posting your VIN, it could help discern which VINs have been fixed and which will be subject to recall or stop sale. Of course, Ford will publish VINs subject to recall when they notify owners in middle July.

Even if Ford max's out the 200,000 vehicle limit in the third quarter (likely, though it could be the 4th quarter), the tax credit phases out over time. Anyone taking delivery of a Ford EV this year will still get the full tax credit.

If you are that worried, which I don't think you have to be, why don't process the purchase asap and just wait for delivery?

My MME shows "In Transit" but it's still waiting to get on the train.....I have GPS turned on so I know exactly where it is....I don't trust what I hear....

Does anyone know of any cons for activating the vehicle in FordPass while the car is still at the factory? Does the 3 year or bluecruise start counting or something?
