Does anyone know what “held for constructive placement” means? Been tracking the cars train ride and the ETA kept changing and tonight the status changed to “Constructively held”. Does that mean it’s arrived and waiting for truck to dealer now?

Thanks in advance!

I thought that i had seen that in another build week chat and found the post. It looks like it is waiting to be unloaded from the railcar

Yes. That is what it means in Mira Loma CA at least.
My car arrived there Friday morning at 10:42 local time and I know it is unloaded at this point because the train car it was in was empty and heading to Texas as of Saturday. Now we just wait for the last cargo carrier truck to get it to our dealerships.

Our cars are or were here when they arrived:

Just got done with a chat with Ford. They said my car's last known location was Junction Point in Laredo (as of 4/30). The last time I chatted with them was 4/29 and they had a rail car number for me that doesn't match the format of any railcar I have seen on this site (COER901002). There is currently NO railcar listed and they said that is unusual. I am (hopefully) wondering if they came to their senses and plan to truck my car directly from Junction Point (Laredo) to San Antonio, which is only 2.5 hours away. Probably just wishful thinking and stuck in Laredo waiting for another railcar. The car is so close I can smell the HVBJB baking (next problem - stop safely now) - LOL.

Please don't waste time for me but does anyone have any insights here off the top of your head? After all of the horror stories, I am concerned about my car reaching my dealer without me knowing about it. Thanks in advance!

Thank so much for the insight! Hopefully we’ll both get “The Call” sometime this week!

My estimated delivery window just moved again… was May8-13, now May 18-24… getting pretty sick of this.

Frustrating for sure. I would think our vehicles are on the same train but who knows at this point. My original delivery dates after shipping email didn't hold. Today is the first day of my new window. 5/11 to 5/17. And of course I'm out of town tomorrow and not back until the end of the delivery window. I do hope it doesn't shift again but ordertrack site hasn't changed since the shipping email came out in April 22.

Have you tried the chat feature to see if they have an updated location? I have the sneaking suspicion we're being held in customs in Laredo Texas.

Oh and I feel like the frustration will continue when it gets to KC yet they can't get it out of the rail yard for a few weeks. I might throw some fake hauling company stickers on my truck and show up at the rail yard with a U-Haul car trailer haha.

Sounds like a bunch of us may be stuck in Laredo. Has anyone that shipped 4/22-23 timeframe checked with Ford Chat over the last few days? I plan to do chat again today or tomorrow but my sense is that both Laredo and Kansas City are jammed with cars waiting for trains/trucks.

Yeah, I did the chat 2 days ago and the last updated location was Laredo. However, they had a rail car number from which KC southern car it was on… I just checked the ordertrack.app webpage and my vehicle status has changed sometime this morning from “ASN” to ”picked”. I guess that is progress.

Do we know what “picked” means? Has the train reached KC and it’s been “picked” by the trucking company?

We've been at KC for a few days. Wondering how much longer we'll be stuck there. Ordered our MME last August. Kiiiiind of anxious to get it.

I'm from 3/14 build week (we got put on a mini chip/ship hold compared to you guys), shipped on 4/21 or 4/22 and been in Laredo since 5/2, also previously had a railcar number and do not have one now. Not sure what's going on but it's really disheartening. Others in my build week who got shipped anywhere from 4/20-4/22 seem to have arrived at KC sporadically over the past week or so.

From what I understand, that means that you are next to get "paired" with a truck or railcar to go to the next destination. I think that "paired" means that they have a spot reserved for you on said truck/car. Not sure what the next destination would be for you since you are in Kansas...

Thanks for the info. Bad news but good to know!
