Sounds like a lazy zone rep to me...
And she just might be. All I know is there is zero information I can get from Ford that would help at this point. I even created a twitter account so I could "@" Ford and its execs to see if that will do anything.

Try contacting the Ford Marketing Department. I spoke with someone last week and they were super helpful and had access to information we do not.

800-334-4375. The hold times can be annoying, but might be worth your time.

Just joining the fray here--ordered my GT in July and schedule for production week of 10/18. No updates other than "in production" at this time.

The other weekly groups are saying they are in a chip hold after some calls with Ford. I'm sure we are too then

In production on 10/18. No word on completion/shipping yet. I am seriously considering can’t and ordering a 2022. Doesn’t make much sense to take delivery of a 2021 in Jan 2022. Some improvements in a 2022 and better resale value.
Not sure of the process yet, have to research that….

You just don't take delivery of the 21 when it comes, and they refund your deposit. I am doing the same. Have already ordered the '22

You are sure the dealer will refund your non-refundable deposit? Does your dealer know you are doing this?

No new information but I just received the email from Ford telling me my car will be built the week of 10/18/2021.

Good thing as I was beginning to worry when it would be built.

I have only an email from my dealer saying mine is week of 10/11 but when I logged in it says week of 10/18. No subsequent updates or emails.

most reputable dealers will allow this. $500 refund turns into $5000+ ADM

I guess it won’t matter to your dealer that it is a 2021.

I think the 500 mach e deposit is refundable. You just need to get the refund from the dealer vs Ford.com

I think the deposit is non-refundable regardless. That is my understanding after talking with the dealer. The refund is at the discretion of the dealer.

If the dealer feels that he can sell your car easily and quickly then he will probably be inclined to give you a refund.
