I was wondering about this. I was just looking at the manual yesterday and it seems like I can do the tire rotation at home and check the fluids. I've always done oil changes on my vehicles at home. Is it really necessary for me to take it in to the dealership? And would this affect warranty in any way.
Warranty cannot be affected unless what you did, or did not do, caused a failure, that they can prove.

Make sure you jack properly, with pucks, and tighten to 150ft pounds.

Thank you. Really appreciate this group. Tons of info here. Going to order the pucks soon. It's a must for a anytime I need to jack up the car.

Yes and possibly.

Let somebody do it who knows what they’re doing as they might just find something and deal with any TSBs that you have no access to or are able to apply.

Pay up & look happy is my advice, 40+ years in motor trade service & repairs?

The “unless” is the important word of warning here.

Damage something and your f***ked.

Damage that battery cradle and it’d cost you more than a few of your dollars.

You could also lose any goodwill if something happens outside of warranty, my experience is if you’ve invested in a full Manufacturer service history Manufacturers will often cover certain repairs or contribute to them. Though if you didn’t let them service your car when due, they’ll take the tough love attitude and so would I.

You invested in a thing of beauty, look after it properly my advice?

I've always done a lot of my own service and my typical "best practice" is to document it all in a spreadsheet. Date, mileage, exact things you checked (as specific as possible). If there are specific call outs in the manual at each service interval, make sure those are documented. If you replace, refill, whatever - keep receipts and document what you replaced with (like OEM parts vs third party).

Like for my 4Runner before (and my wife's Subaru), even oil changes I'll document the type and brand of oil, brand of filter, etc. Same with other changes - brakes, tires, etc.

It may not all be necessary in the end - like someone else mentioned, they can't deny your warranty coverage just because you service it yourself. But the "unless" comes in if you've done something wrong or out of spec or something like that which caused whatever claim they're denying (which they'd technically have to prove). And the spreadsheet is just my own CYA if anything were to come up.

I used FordPass points to pay for it.
Just did this last Thursday on our MachE for 10k maintenance. Tire rotation and inspection, $20, paid with FordPass points.
just out of curiosity was the exchange rate $25 = 5000 ford pass points for both of your service appointments? need to do this soon as well and have 22k ford pass points (no idea how i got those, i guess everyone gets them?)

Yes, it's 200 points per dollar, and that was consistent with the points that I redeemed for my 10000 service interval.

We had our 10,000-mile service completed by Victory Ford in Kansas City. We were charged $25 for the tire rotation portion, nothing for the inspection and they completed an outstanding update. We used our Ford points to pay and the experience was good.

Today, I received a message on the Ford app saying the 10,000-mile maintenance is due in 300 miles (currently at 9,700 miles). Does anyone know how to reset the maintenance reminder in the app or car?

Did you leave it for the day or did you wait?
We left it for the morning while we ran some errands. Dropped off at 9:30 and received a call that it was done at 11:30. We told them no hurry.

I recommend being very specific in describing what you want the dealer to do. It seems increasingly common that dealers have their own package called the "MME 20k service" (for example), which includes a lot of extra stuff not included in the manual, and costs way too much money.
