is it normal to have the LVB regularly in the 60%? wonder if my 12V battery is going to die soon.

the 12v status can fluctuate pretty significantly on any given day. I will say in eleven months my gt has never been below 80% and stays typically 85-95.. But I believed they've updated how the 12v battery is maintained in later years.

It depends on when you're checking it. If it's at 60% immediately after driving for 20 minutes, I'd be concerned about a problem. If it's at 60% after the car has been off for 3 days, it might be fine.

The car lets its 12V get to about 45% if it's not running before it activates the DC-DC charging circuit. If the car's been sitting, a while, 60% is not out of the question. It should not be at 60% shortly after a drive since thee DC-DC charging system is active during drive. ?‍♂?

So with all this recent talk about 12v batteries failing, I have been watching our battery charge more closely. We went on vacation and the car wasn't plugged in and the battery got down to a high 60% but once I plugged the car in it went back up to the mid 80% range. I've never seen it after a long drive and overnight charge get higher than 85%. I also noticed today that after a short drive and being plugged in all night the 12v is reporting 74% today while parked at work. We are over 30K miles now and bought the car in May 2022 so the initial warranty is nearing its end. I prefer to replace the battery before the warranty runs out so what would trigger a replacement in Ford's eyes?
We have a 2021 Subaru that had the battery go bad just a few months ago but since we had an extended battery warranty it was covered. It appears batteries don't last as long as they used to.

Mine hangs out in the 60s a lot. I drive short distances, not every day, and only charge about once every 10 days so I'm not too surprised. When I charge it goes up in to the 80s and 90s. I assume that mine drops near the bottom limit (45%??) quite often and then gets charged to who knows what by the HVB or maybe when it's low it gets a small boost from a drive and the HVB is never getting involved. I have never caught it below 60% since the battery management OTA.

I do turn PAAK off most of the time if I'm not driving. However, I notice that even if PAAK is off my bluetooth talks to the car as it makes the clicks and I get welcome lights sometimes when I walk by.

see that's different from my eleven months experience on my 23 (I had a 21 for 2.5 years). The 12v has never been below 80%, and it tends to stay 85-95. Morning after charging it typically reads 95% or so.

Just FYI, Ford's web site i reporting my 12V at 67% (current HV SoC is 46%). I last drove it on Tuesday night. I just forced a door lock from the FP app which made the car update its 12V info. I do not know what the 12V SoC was when I parked. ?‍♂?

That's a little on the low side but not unheard of. If you haven't driven it for days or only drive short trips that might be typical.

Any idea how often the 12v battery status is updated? I been away from my (unplugged) car for 2 weeks And the battery status on the web says 95%. I’m wondering if it has updated since I left.

No it hasn't because it doesn't update when the car is off. Send a lock command in FordPass and then check the website a minute or two later.

Yup, that's normal if it's been sitting for a couple weeks. The TCU shuts down to save power so no remote communications are possible (fobs still work). The 12V battery should still be maintained by the car if it gets low.
