My 2023 just got these messages:
Service Vehicle Soon, Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power, High-Voltage Battery Warning.

Scan tool shows: P0AA1 - Hybrid/EV Battery Positive Contactor A Circuit Stuck Closed

Vehicle performance has been noticeably reduced. Looks like the 2023 model year is not immune from the issues of the prior years, it's just a matter of time...

That looks familiar. Sorry it happened to you. It’s only a matter of time before it happens to a lot of us again with the B or B-RM part. ??

How to know what's the latest part? To know if they actually replaced with updated or same old janky crap that failed initially

It’s crazy to me that the -B part for the GT is so bad that it’s failing a month after leaving the lot. Ford should extend the recall to any GT and 4X that has the older HVBJB, including recently repaired cars.

So far, we haven’t had reports of the -C (GT) and -E (4X) parts failing.

Heh no kidding. I got the LK9Z-10C666-BRM part when I got my SVS that became an SSN. I’m going to try to blow it up when the weather gets better in order to get a -C or -CRM part. ?‍♂?

Not sure there really is a difference but I wish there was more information available as to what changes may have taken place between part numbers since the original part was upgraded. I am quite certain only the contactors have been changed but have they been changed between the B and C I have no idea.

Mine has failed every year around July/August, so I'm getting close to getting the "better" part. It would be my third replacement. Lemon Law at that point? Take advantage of tanking prices and get a brand new 2024?!?

Well, you could get a 2024 with a metal roof and the 360 cameras. Mine would only be the second replacement, so I’m stuck unless I blow up two in rapid succession. ??

Yeah, I'm very curious as well. I can't wait for a GT 2024 to be torn down to see if there have been any substantive changes. I'm guessing it may take a while, as it might have to wait for someone with know-how to get access to a '24 HVBJB from a crashed vehicle? ?

If the part number remains the same then there will be no change. The reality is it will take a major design change to do anything significant hardware-wise with the HVBJB. Tight space, no active cooling, no active temp measurement. We hear so much about what not to do, WOT and minimize DCFC, but my personal belief is these actions cause may cause failure after damage occurs. I am not so sure they are what cause the damage. I did not have a problem with my 22GT and I certainly hope I do not have a problem with the new part!
