Interesting they got rid of the 3 year BlueCruise plan option. Because it was part of the MSRP, the cost for the 3 year plan would also be part of the residual on a lease even though it would be expired at the end of a 3 year lease. On a 3 year lease it was something like $30/month for BlueCruise if you got the 3 year plan as optional equipment rather than paying the subscription month to month.
But there also seems like there might be a lifetime option now?

An 88kw/h LFP would be way heavier.

True, there is. Wonder how much that would add to the monthly lease price vs just paying for the monthly subscription.

There was a plan announced months ago to start production on Jan 6, but I've seen no indication that it ever happened. Some forum members have gotten February production estimates for 2025s, but I have not seen any production scheduled for January. And ford.com is still showing " Build and Price" for 2024 Mach-E, no sign of the 2025s yet.

How are you able to confirm that the January 6 date actually happened? I'm not saying it didn't happen, just have not seen any solid info myself, and am interested in the timing because I will be in the market for a 2025 soon.
There are 2025 cars on dealer lots. Not many, but there are some.

I've been looking at 2025 VIN's all day. Can't find one that is actually built, only scheduled. Some as soon as next week but the window sticker isn't available yet.

If you know what dealer they are at, I will look them up and post the window sticker.

Or it’s a typo, like they’ve had in every order guide every year. 2021 they told us the passenger seat was manual and the drivers seat was power.

The guide also had the size of the Brembo brakes on a GT and GTPE…. Way off.

2023 the website said the 360 camera was $1900 and the order guide said it was free.

Sure, it’s possible they lowered capacity. But my first question would be- Why?

With the history of typos with Ford, it doesn’t surprise me that this would be another one.
Maybe so. My initial thought was it didn't make sense, and why would they do that? It also doesn't make sense that the GT has 91 and the Premium has 88 unless there is a battery chemistry difference. Is it just a typo, or did they change something to reduce cost?

Everyone is guessing until someone buys one and hooks up a OBD scanner and checks EtE at 100%.

My 2 guesses are cost cutting and Ford believes that overall range will be the same or better with added cooling seats and heat pump on a smaller usable battery.

Or a combination of both. The Flash model of the Lightning is getting a smaller extended range battery as well.

Another could be that the battery health isn't trending the way they want on the higher usable battery. If you can believe the way Ford tracks battery health, My Mach-E has significant overall lower health than my Lightning, with roughly half the miles on it.

This is such a useful visual how would I go on seeing this on my own car?

Lifetime BC only on a lease? Sounds like 3 years of BC to me.

Become a Ford tech or pay the crazy amount for PTS and FDRS, along with the hardware needed. 1002% counter productive for a single person unless they just buy the 3 day FDRS, PTS is only Ford technicians if I remember right.

They seem to be changing the BC philosophy from subscription to lifetime. This subscription thing is not working in the auto industry.

Technically not built yet, but the window sticker should be available. For some reason it's not on the site yet. But at least this confirms 2025 production has started.

The dealer web site is confusing. They make it look like it’s been on the lot for a bit.

I still don’t understand Ford’s logic in delaying 2025 production till Jan. Most other OEMs are half way through 2025 production by now. 2024 vehicles on lots are encumbered at this point and need heavy discounting to move.

Only now they figure this out?
What they shoulda figured out is the lifecycle for many people and this car is under 3 years. So lifetime, and it doesn't stay with the car i suppose. But life time and it stays with me would probably push me into another Ford.

Looking into the specs of the vehicle, we should be able to see if the ER battery is actually a different size or if the 3kW difference between the GT and others are software locked. The VIN you gave to me was a GT.

It’s more tricky. Lifetime according to Ford is “at least 7 years”. I can’t recall where I read it, so can’t provide you a reference. But they are protecting against needing to support obsolete hardware “forever”.

Related, the idea that Farley has about extracting revenue from the 2nd and 3rd owners is laughable. Very few second hand owners will care about advanced features AND cough up $500 a year to get them.
