So, this is what Livermore Ford charges for a 30,000 mile service on a 2022 Mache. Sounds about right….
I know I've always heard bad things about my local dealership but haven't dealt with them much. Very sad since I love my city and they are conveniently located. I guess if I need anything I'll go to Walnut Creek or somewhere else. I do have a lot of respect for Morgan Hill Ford with their no nonsense sales policy even through the pandemic they didn't Jack the prices up on their vehicles.

Assuming that there is actually nothing about the car warranting repair, not even an ICE car should require that amount of service at 30k miles, unless it’s European. But no EV should EVER hand you that kind of bill for a one-stop ‘service interval’ throughout its lifetime. Take that dealer off your list of places to take your car; they are clearly unscrupulous rip-off artists…..assuming again that there is n other actual thing wrong with the car that they/you haven’t yet disclosed.
that quote was recommended service without even looking at the car. and when I questioned it and the cost they didn't back down from standing by "that is what Ford recommends"

Just dropped my car off at the dealership for 30,000 miles service and they are charging $1000. Does this seem in line or way over? I was expecting a couple hundred bucks at most. I already changed the cabin air filter and don’t need my tires rotated.

**UPDATE and TLDR** I ended up pulling the car from service 5 minutes after I released it for work due to the questionable cost and service they were doing and also calling another dealership inquiring cost for a 30k mile service on a Mach e.

Consensus from the group is overwhelmingly in the camp of this dealership is out of their mind and trying to rip me off. I don't disagree.

There is also a debate on when 3yr brake service (fluid replacement) is needed as there is conflicting data per Fords own maintenance guidance via ford Pass and their website.
My 3 year brake service cost $150 at Santa Fe Ford in Alachua, FL.

I just did a 30K service and it cost less than $100. They really didn't do much other than rotate the tires and they did not check tire air pressure. One was at 34 psI and all the others were about 38. I did the cabin filter myself. It takes about 5 mins, or less and the part was available on Amazon for about $10. However I just had the dealer replace the 12v. AGM battery for about $215, and the invoice says they also did a Multipoint Check Up at No Charge!

In my experience, so far, the dealers have some serious process issues. I have learned I need to thoroughly scrutinize everything the call center or service writers tell me. It seems that after 3 years of EV experience, they still mess up frequently.

Lots of discussion on the 30K/3yr brake fluid issue. I’m coming up on 30K soon & have had my 2021 for 3.5 yrs w/o any brake issues. And, like most on this forum, use 1-Pedal drive exclusively. Which begs the question, does actual brake use have any impact on the fluid degradation?!
Also note that the moisture build-up can lead to premature corrosion of steel brake lines.
There are a number of inexpensive fluid testers on the market that can tell you if it is time, and there is even a do-it-yourself test using a volt-meter.

those electrons can really get messy especially if you are using the highly-accelerated premium electricity.

I believe they even pointed to a plastic like screw driver that you can put a little bristle brush on in the parts showcase near the counter. "That thing right there, that is the port cleaning device...."

Oh great....now I read if I haven't been using the premium high volt electricity my charge port is gonna fail. And if I'm not wearing the special EV pants my seat covers will likely rot. I already know I'm in trouble for using domestic air from my compressor in the tires when I should have been using Ford Approved air sold only through dealers.

Ok...seriously now. We all know EV's will pinch dealership service business. Yet there are other revenue streams to be tapped are there not? It was mentioned that some dealers don't have body shops! WTH!! Dealerships need to get accessory sales like hitches and roof carriers in line with reality. Offer more detailing and cleaning service. Put in no-touch car wash bays. I'm sure other members of this forum have other revenue ideas for dealerships? I'm pulling for dealerships to survive even though so many are sharky. Why? They employ a LOT of local people and it would be nice to see them shift into progressive mode instead of dragging ass on EV/s.

Middle of October I saw a vehicle online at there dealership. During my phone conversation with their salesperson Rafi, I was informed that there was over $6000 in non negotiable add-ons ( see attached) Passed on that vehicle. It was then moved to Tracy VW( they are all part of Gill Automotive) and the price raised by 10k where as of today still not sold but price was lowered by 7k
