4/11/22 build week chat

I was browsing my Ford Dealer’s page. They are showing a 2022 CA R1 incoming. I checked the window sticker, and it was in production 11 Apr, Built 12 Apr and shipped! Batch 5184 328/600 With a delivery between May 26-June 01. From what I read on the forum batch 5184 is the last of the 04/04 builds. My Select has been in production limbo since Apr 12. I wish I was on that train…..

I also used the Ford chat service here is what they said:
It has been produced. It is currently in Ford Mexico Cuautitlan Assembly, EM. With an ETA of Jun-10-2022 for delivery to your dealer.

Same here, build week 4/11; completed with delivery expected 6/10. 50 days from Mexico to CA seems rather long. Oh well, what’s another month or two. At least it’s built.

It does seem unusual that you haven't gotten any built or shipped emails yet. My best guess is that Ford is finally making a push to get all of the January and March chip holds out the door, which is taking up all the shipping resources right now. Somehow our 4/4 build group slipped through, but you guys haven't. The shipping estimates you've been getting are based on the cars... you know... actually shipping. So if they don't move soon, I'd start to doubt they are realistic. Don't panic yet though, there are a ton of happy folks in the January/March build threads so hopefully you guys will see movement soon.

No updates and I don't think we are getting any soon. I just called Ford and they told me what my dealer said last week. The car is built but has not moved into shipping status. The estimated delivery date is June 1st to Connecticut. This date seems suspect as it has not started its journey yet and who knows how long the line of cars to be shipped is in front of us. I like Jersey Mach's theory that the group of chip orphaned cars is potentially ready now to be shipped out ahead of us, which is only fair?? The planets were really aligned for that 4/4 build group. They sailed through the process and I think they were the last batches to get park assist. The Easter Cars seem to be in limbo; built but what gives ?

I'm still showing in production 4/19/22. I just did a chat with Ford and they confirmed it is in production with an ETA June 5th to June 11th (to the dealer).

I'm in same boat as everyone else. However I did find one interesting development.

In this thread the poster mentioned that he had ordered a Grabber Blue CA Rt 1 in Nov but was no longer buying it and the car was up for grabs. Supposedly the car had just been built and was now headed to dealer (in Glenville NY) with an expected arrival date of early May. The poster supplied the window sticker as well. The car was batch 5237 (85/301) which was eerily similar to my batch (5237 82/301), so I figured our cars would've been built quite closer together in time. The window sticker is stamped 4/14/22 at the bottom.

The order number was P519, not sure the significance of the P, but the sticker was green as this was a customer order and not a dealership order (which I believe are blue). When I searched the status of the order number and VIN for this car, I saw that the car had indeed been built and shipped already. Quite different than my situation. So this is both annoying but also gives me hope that there are 4/11 week build cars that have shipped. The sample size of folks on this chat is obviously quite small versus the number of overall cars built during 4/11 week, yes? So some are clearly shipping out of Mexico. Just not ours.

I’m in this same batch 297/301. Mine just says in production Apr. 12th, and that was the last of it. I can’t even open my window sticker anymore.

Weird…the link from shop.ford to my window sticker doesn’t work anymore. But, I have it open in another window and refreshed it. It still loads, but the date on the bottom has changed to today’s date.

Different trackers responding differently. Some of the links won’t show a window sticker. Others show different dates at the bottom. Very odd.
