Fellow 4/11 Build Week (Batch 5303) with an exciting update. I received that notice below via email on 5/6 from Ford that my car was shipped and the timeline was 6/23-6/29.

Well my dealer rep (who is great btw) called me today to inform me that the dealership had received the car! Two days earlier than predicted, shocking, I know! Of course the fates do not like the idea of me getting my ME earlier than expected so due to Recall 22S41, I agreed with the dealer that they should hold onto it in order to fix the issue whenever that happens. She's so close, yet so far, but I do take comfort in knowing she isn't stuck in some railyard or shipment facility.

Congrats :)

Car arrived at the dealership yesterday (!) and the dealer asked if I wanted to check it out despite not being able to release it to me. (What a tease!) Vehicle (CA RT 1, AWD, ExR) is awesome as everyone knows. Loved the DMG color more than I thought I would. Feels luxury in many ways (pano roof, huge touchscreen, blue cruise) but I was also struck how in the CA Rt 1 trim certain features are missing that you wouldn't expect to be missing in a $54k car, like auto lift gate and pax seat memory. Not complaining—I knew what I was getting into—just funny how they have struck things in service to battery and range. (My 5-year old Chevy Bolt feels like a cheap golf cart wrapped around a giant battery.)

Car was still in plastic, and on the door someone from the factory had written "Libre"—quite ironic, given that the car is now trapped in a recall prison. It will be libre soon, I hope.

Friday Update: My car sits in the port in Newark for its 3rd week. I have seen that many cars have been picked up and delivered to my dealer from Newark especially in the past two weeks. My dealer has taken delivery of 150 Lightenings and other cars built after mine. For some reason, they are picking up other cars and letting mine sit. Even though there is only recall-jail to go to, I prefer to have my car at the dealership in early July so when the magic OTA comes, I am already there to receive it. For some reason, I was given a late July delivery (I think by mistake; fat-fingered scheduler hit 7/27 vs. 6/27) way back in May when the car was built. My theory: With a later delivery ETA, perhaps United is picking it up later in order to pick up other cars with earlier deadlines. Anyway-- no progress.

FYI, mine was in Newark for amost a month - 5/14 to 6/12 before it was sent to recall jail at the dealer. It was also not trasported by United Road and by some other carrier. So keep that in mind when looking at the UR tracking.

This morning I get an email. Subject: Important Updates about your Mustange Mach-e Order. Of course I figure its about my delivery or "oh... the recall, of course". Nope, the important info is.... "So that we can produce your vehicle more quickly, we're replacing a feature on your vehcicle called Active Park Assist .... etc." Ugg, what ... this is two month old news now? I have worked at a lot of companies in my career. I can't fathom Ford's system logic to kick off emails and when. Anyway, I have not seen communiction regarding anything else from Ford. I think Chevy loalists working at Ford are trying to piss off as many customers as possible.

I got it too and I've had my car for almost 2 weeks. Left hand doesn't seem to know what the right hand is doing...

Do visitation rights count as "having your car" ... joint custody with the dealer? I did not have the heart to tell my wife that your car went to jail after taking it home since she has followed your delivery saga in Newark ? We won't be soon forgetting this sterling experience :). And the OTA recall madness has not even started. The threads will be exploding especially after the first SSN error is thrown on a cleanly built and / or fixed OTA updated car.

You can reassure your wife that all ended up well for me--I didn't have to take it back after all :) . Saga can be found in my thread here.

For those whose cars have made it to your dealer; did you receive the finalize your purchase email from Ford and when did you receive it relative to the car showing up at the dealer?

Side gripe: It's getting annoying seeing fully vaccinated cars recently built getting delivered free from recall issues. I'm very happy for those MME owners but annoyed I can't even get my car to the dealer while it awaits its fix. I still can't understand what felt like an arbitrary 10-week delivery estimate that I received way back when.

I saw it came up in the lower corner once I logged into Ford's website and went to any page.
