Does this location mean anything to you guys? The KCS phone system keeps telling me my tail car # has no status.

Ugh, my sales guy never called me back. I've got multiple "projects" going on and making multiple calls is tiresome.

I would bet that my car is with yours. Perhaps I will do the Ford chat thing.

100%. Ford chat is the way to go.

Every time I get an update from Ford, I make a point of sending an email to my dealer giving him an update on where my car is at. I’m collecting quite the thread. Not sure if he thinks it’s as funny as I perceive it to be. Steve updating Steve, with the roles reversed .

I did get a message from the dealer. He said that my car is likely to go to Elkhart or Ft Wayne first by rail, so you will likely get your MME before I do (Indianapolis).

This may be a dumb question, but how do you access the Ford chat? I've searched around a bit and I keep coming back to this page. You'll notice they helpfully tell you what the chat is for and when it is open, but I don't see a way to actually, ya know, chat. Am I missing something?

I have the same issue when I try accessing it on my laptop (using chrome) so I only chat on my iPhone. It works. You’ll see a blue button under the language you posted.

I tried all three major browsers on my PC and my work PC. None of them work. Safari on my phone does for some reason, but the interface is awful and I'm not sure if I have to keep the the browser open on my phone or not. How did they make this chat app so awful?

Update: My phone went to sleep for a few minutes and when I woke it up I was no longer in the chat queue. Looks like the chat is pretty useless.

Like many aspects of this purchase process, it requires enormous levels of patience. Try to call them. They’ll need last 8 of VIN.

Went to Ford.com Chat, they're saying my car is on Ramp 6U in Muncie, KS. Feeling slightly relieved and slightly annoyed it still hasn't started the journey westward to California.

The world of shipping delays. My car is going about 20 miles from the rail yard to the dealer and it still hasn’t made it. Been in KC since at least Tuesday.

Update: Our car has now been in KC for a week, according to Ford Chat. Based on what we have learned about Ford tracking during shipping, namely that it is at best very coarse when compared to railroad tracking, do you think the car is sitting still in KC, or is it actually on a truck moving toward my dealer?
Another data point to consider - some posters on the build week thread prior to ours have had their cars arrive at their dealer two weeks early. Edited to add - These lucky folks were all east of the Mississippi, cars came by truck. Sorry west coasters.
