No change for me - still showing scheduled for 5/16. Received an email from Ford yesterday with this date as well as my VIN.

I'm actually experiencing the reverse. Originally showed 5/23 on the website, then got an email with 5/16 and now the website also shows 5/16. I'd love to get in the week earlier but the moving target is kind of confusing!
Oh now I get it…you took MY spot! (Just kidding…) ;)

So, now that my build is scheduled within 3 weeks, how can I compare the Options financing package against other options? Since the Ford site doesn't let us build dummy MMe's or Lightnings, access to the Options calculator isn't easy to find - anyone have a way to get into it and find current interest rates etc?

Another delay? Now my order shows 5/23/2022 for a build date. Seems some shuffling of models/colors is underway. :(

AFAIK there's no way to get into the website calculator anymore.

If you know what the interest rates for Options was when you ordered, then you can assume that's the best available - if they've changed since then, they've gone up, but you're still eligible for the incentives at the time of order (that goes for the incentive cash as well). Do keep in mind that while many applicants will get the advertised interest rate, credit score does still make an impact and your dealership's finance department may not want to give it to you.

If you're willing to do a little work, you can do some calculations on your own. It's a bit complicated but here's how you do it.

  • Sale price. Add the destination fee to the MSRP (at time of order, make sure you get your price protection), and subtract the Options incentive cash. If you have a trade-in and you live in a state that allows you to deduct the value of the trade-in from the sales price, do that now. If your dealer sneaks in any add-ons that you can't talk them out of, add them here.
  • Sales tax, if any, based on the state you live in.
  • Financed amount. This will be the sales price including tax, then subtract any down payment you are paying, and the value of your trade in if you didn't do it before. Add in any additional dealer fees that are not part of the purchase, things like registration fees, documentation fees, plate fees, etc.
  • Balloon payment. This can be a bit tricky. You'll have to find what the residual is on your particular model. There's a chart on another thread (https://www.macheforum.com/site/thr...s-released-lower-than-f-150-lightnings.14599/) where you can look up the residual based on model and length of the loan, then add (or subtract) based on your selected mileage, also in the chart. So for your Premium AWD, it looks like it'd be 42% or 35% based on length, assuming the standard 15,000 mile option. Whatever percentage you get, multiply that by the MSRP plus destination charge, and that's your residual value.
  • Calculate your loan. There's a decent balloon payment calculator at https://financial-calculators.com/balloon-payment-calculator. Plug your financed amount into the first line, APR into the second, the loan length (36 or 48) into the third, skip the fourth line and add your balloon payment you calculated into the fifth line. Then hit the calc button and it'll calculate the payment and tell you the total interest paid.

Somebody put together a calculator here in this thread a while back: https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/poll-ford-options-vs-finance.2883/page-7#post-92089

I've found it very helpful for comparing different scenarios.

Yep, I too got bumped from 5/16 to 5/23 today. Originally was 5/9. It seems like they really are struggling to get Premiums built. What a mess.
