#4 Turns heads..... Not 15 minutes away from the the dealer I was at a light. A guy in a pickup motioned to roll down my window, he asked is that the new Mustang?

Earthlings and their cars..... Go figure.

Glad he liked the Mach-E so much, but maybe not the most knowledgable EV reviewer: “If you have access to a high-capacity Level 3 charger, you can pour 80% of the charge back into the battery in about 20 minutes. But with a Level 2 charger in your garage to top off occasionally…”.

The L2 charger in the garage is to be used to top off occasionally?

I call that "gas station mentality." Certainly, EV drivers can operate that way if they choose, by thinking of public charging stations in the same way as gas stations for ICE vehicles. When on the road that's both necessary and appropriate. But the ability to charge overnight at home and to avoid public "stations" is to me one of the most powerful motivations for driving EVs.

Maybe I'm just anti-social. :)

Yes, and he also apparently hasn’t crunched the numbers for the price of L2 charging at home vs L3 charging in public.

Not only that but this:
the Mustang Mach-E doesn’t have use for an engine, instead relying on two motors (four if you have AWD) to drive the wheels
Um nope: one motor for RWD and two for AWD.

5 Reasons Why The Mustang Mach-E Should Be Your Next Car

  1. It's Fun to Drive. Mustang Mach-E ...
  2. It's Loaded with Tech ...
  3. It's Comfortable ...
  4. It'll Turn Heads ...
  5. It's Convenient--As long as you don't have to deal with a warranty issue (Service Vehicle Soon light)

Not convenient if you can't drive it for weeks on end trying to have it fixed under warranty. Sorry... love the car, hate the service.

So:

The article wasn't written by a car guy,
the article wasn't edited by a car guy,
the author has never lived with an EV in the house,
Has had charging poorly explained to him,
He made $350.00 or less for this generally incorrect layperson's attempt to sway the general public's perception of EVs in general and the MME in particular.

No wonder people still think we set up itinerant camps at charging stations. ...at least they're close to a Walmart

Too bad.

Nothing better than starting the day with a notification on your phone that your car has been fully charged while you slept.
