Okay Rick! You got it! Thanks so much anyway it’s charging and it says it’s gonna charge to 90% so we’ll see tomorrow. I’ll let you know. Thanks again God bless you and your family.
Rick’s suggestion should work. Just make sure you do not have something else set up in Ford Pass that may override the in car setting. Not sure if that could happen as I do not use Ford Pass except for Auto Start.

Once you know to do it, it is fine. Most of us will only need location Home. :)
This is the mindset that I hate.

"Oh, it works, it's fine."

Why are Ford (and us) having to settle for 'fine', when there are far better design/engineering solutions? I could start an entire thread with all of the questionable design decisions put into the Mach-E.

Universal charge limit vs. (hoping) that the car knows where it is at and having to set charge limit AFTER charging.
Button vs. door handle.
Touchscreen vs. physical buttons.
Needing to use my phone to (sort of) see my charging speed vs. just putting it on the giant screen in my car.
Camera fault taking out my cruise control vs. well, NOT taking out my cruise control.
And so on...

All of these little 'it's fine' decisions start to add up to a poor experience with my vehicle. Right now, I doubt I would purchase a Mach-E again (and I actually like driving it). But there are just too many compromises in the usability of this vehicle.

Life is too short for all the suffering you're experiencing with this car, maybe get something that makes you happy.

I think your FP setting is overriding the car. I had this happen with departure times. Kept turning off in the car, but the app would turn it back on. Check the FP app.

Can you no longer set that up from the Sync Screen? I went to adjust my charging level a few weeks back (initial change from the App) as I to was taking a trip so I charged to 100%.

So, when I went into the Sync Screen I was unable to find the charging section and was forced to do it from my phone FP App. The later is a PIA as it it small and the graphics aren't visualized (ie.. all I can see is a 5 on the phone screen, don't know if it is 75, 85 or 95%).

I'm on 6.8.0 (and yes I hate my speedometer not being centered....obviously the engineer who changed that does not believe in symmetry)

Anyway, if someone can confirm my question, I appreciate it.

Did you go to the app called Charging? It's with all of the other apps like navigation and radio.

90% accomplishment with deleting the 100% charge location and charging again to enter the new location with 90%!

How in the world do you set your charge to 90% the recommended amount for longer battery life. I for the life of me can’t figure it out.
I found FordPass is not reliable. You set it to 90% in the car settings.
I have mine set to 80% because the last 20% charging takes as long as the first 80%.

Your logic doesn't work.

Charging from 80 to 90%, the Ford specified charge setting, takes no longer than charging from 70 to 80%. In fact, AC charging doesn't slow down until the very, very end.

Or Ford software engineers could not suck at their job and just give us a universal charge level setting. Seriously, who thought we would need several different location based charge levels?
When I periodically travel to HQ a few hours away, esp in winter, there are low cost CP chargers in the garage. I set charge to 100 on my departure day w/o having to remember to override the 90 limit.

when I occasionally use the charger provided by MOM’s in the DC metro when shopping there, I don’t use an upper charge limit.

at home, it’s 90.

Note that the charge limit is location based. When you set a limit for a location, you must have charged at that location at least once before. Your "location" may or may not be your home. FordPass on my phone says I'm charging at my across the street neighbor's house even though my phone's GPS knows I'm at my home address. The car's GPS I guess isn't as granular as my phone's. ?‍♂?
Why do you keep stealing your neighbor's electricity? ?

This.

I charge to 80% because that’s all I need and I live on an island. I use a 32 amp dumb charger. The slow part of the charging is 99% to 100%. The rest of the time it chugs along at a steady effective rate of around 7.45 to 7.5 kW/hr. More or less.

Yes it shows me at that location and it shows I’m set to charge to 90%, but it still charges to 100%! I have been charging to 90% before because I was told it’s better for battery life, but I changed it one time to hundred percent so that I could go to a city and come back without having to stop and charge but now I can’t get it back to the 90%
Once you get your current issue resolved, don't change your settings again when you want to charge to 100%. Instead, start a charge under your 90% settings, open up the that charge session on FordPass, scroll to the bottom and tap on "Charge to 100%". That will result in that session charging to 100% while retaining your 90% settings for future charges at that location.
