It is not right. And they meant Plug and Charge, not EA. That fee is for the discounted EA and other networks. P&C is free for 2 years.
Right. They realized that's not right. But it seems that maybe P&C for EA won't work on used vehicles?

Talking to Ford support right now. First response was that I needed a $50/year EA subscription to get it activated as part of Plug & Charge? That doesn't seem right.
Agree that it doesn't seem right.

But I see their point. If you don't have any free kWh from Ford (which I don't think you would have if you bought the car used) or EA Pass+ membership rates then why would you want P&C.

I personally have P&C turned off, the handshake takes WAY to long. It's so much faster to just plug in and then tap my EA Pass+ membership card in Apple wallet to the station.

Well, I support ticket is open right now. And I may end up on that route. Right now, with P&C turned on, the chargers fail to connect and it screws up the process.

Open EA app. Select charger. Plug in. Overrides P&C.

Ah, the famous (or infamous) open support ticket. Let us know when they respond, if we haven't passed away due to old age.

Need more experimentation (I don't use EA chargers that often) but the station often wants me to plug in the charger first before authorizing which trips it up.

When I first got my car, I was afraid that using P&C would not use my Ford-provided charging credit. (That proved to be unfounded).

So I would initiate my EA sessions in FordPass. Each station is visible by number, tap it, then plug in. That worked every time for me.

Yes? But it only shows GreenLots and not EA. No option to add it.

Welcome to Canada! ?? lol.. I'm assuming your a Canadian Mach-E owner like myself based on the options shown in your screenshot? In Canada we only get Green lots listed, and there is no Electrify America or Electrify Canada support for plug and charge (yet).

Just ignore the “plug in first” directive. Use the EA app and select the charger you’re parked in front of, then plug in. It works.

Update from Ford. Owners of used Mach-Es won't have Electrify America as part of the Blue Oval Charge Network. Which means that Plug & Charge won't work for EA stations (as I understand it). @Ford Motor Company - that sound right to you?
