So the X-plan doesn't provide enormous savings, but it's still well worth the $25 membership in the Mustang Club of America.
Approx $900 savings but also caps dealer fees at $100 maximum. x-plan MSRP for discount calculation excludes the freight ($1,100) and protection package ($240).

Your dealership is WRONG. Reference the letter that tells them how to get help from Corporate to do this correctly.

X-Plan is off invoice. Vehicle was invoiced before the price increase. Invoice should clearly show the proper X-Plan price.
I need your help! I showed that doc explaining the price protection. But my dealership said he confirmed from a corporate rep that X-Plan cannot be applied with the price protection. What can I do?

Don't know how I'm going to help you.

Your X-Plan price was fixed with the INVOICE that was produced last year. Clearly states that in the price protection thread. Your dealer should pull up the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement), and it clearly shows the X-Plan price.

There is a department for the dealer to call about Price Protection if they're stupid.

And who is "my dealership"? The GM?

Yes, he is a manager (actually a friend of my relative, so trying to be helpful). Where should he call?

Originally that was what I was told as well. When I asked them to keep on looking at it, because logically it just did not make sense to me, they took another couple of days contacting their "Ford Marketing Rep" to get it straitened out.

In the end, they couldn't finish the process and told me they will send a corrected form to sign electronically in a few days. At least, they agreed there is price protection with the x-plan. But they couldn't / didn't know how to pull up the invoice at the time of my order and had to ask another dealership which is already closed. Well, not ideal, but I can wait a day or two for the $2k price difference. Anyway, my new plate was not ready.

At first, the person who is in charge of this financial thing told me there was no price increase and the price of cal rte has been the same since I ordered last October. And argued that I just feel that the price is increased as I didn't count the eAWD options to the MSRP...

I was really shocked when I heard that, as I thought they were intentionally lying to me. From then I raised my voice a bit. It turns out that they really didn't know about it, and apologized promptly. He really believed the price difference was due to eAWD ($2700) but his math was obviously incorrect. Anyway, hope my trial and error helps the next person.

Ah, and they never called the aforementioned places first. They just called one of their Ford friends without listening to my information carefully, and I was lucky that the first friend he called was an expert.

I bought my GT month ago my finance manager was a straight dick when it came to financing and rate. I showed him my xplan he simply said we are not taking it right now “you know it’s tight right now” he seemed like British or Australian accent and thought he I will be just sold and not question anything lmao.

I was well I was gonna buy the warranty if you honored it he tried to give me 800 on warranty but it was still 2600 way more than I could buy online from another dealer in Michigan. Also was shady and wasn’t even mentioning the apr Lmao. He was basically crushing me to sign. I had to hit pause and was like so what’s the interest 4%. I was hell to the no. I am pre approved for 1.99 for 72 months he was like well don’t deal with that CU. I kept pushing he was like I can give you 2.54% and you can refinance if you like lmao.

so I did exactly that.Refinance within 10 days and bought the warranty online for 1575 for 7 years 125k with all lights covered and 100 deductible.

basically saving 2k on warranty and getting higher coverage.

Sorry to bother you again. It seems like you are an expert, so do you know if there is a detailed guide my dealer can follow to pull up the past invoice? I assume they are willing to price protect, but couldn't figure out how to do it for a whole day.

So far, there has been only small progress that I finally convinced them the price increase DID happen. But they claim that they can't pull up the invoice at the time of order, and all Ford reps they called couldn't help them. And finally, their 'local Ford rep' confirmed this cannot happen. My car is still waiting in their garage...

I referred you to the thread, which explained where the dealer can find info, and who to contact if they can't. Did you read that thread? Where does it say they should ask their local Ford rep? Did you ask them to print the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) on the car and send it to you?

Yes, I pretty much explained everything. Asked to call the corporate rep, VOPC, and Ford Marketing Rep, and mentioned the past invoice and DORA stuffs. Pointed out they will get the price difference back, etc. It is still very unclear if they actually called or understood what I mentioned as their communication is not clear. They just told me "We cannot figure it out. We have been talking to everyone at Ford. " and "I don't know what else we can do. We are at the mercy of Ford ", so I don't know how to push them further.

I will try one more time so that they print DORA for me. Really appreciate your help!

You shouldn't say "call the corporate rep, VOCP, and Ford Marketing rep". That just confuses things. The thread told them exactly to call. Even has a video from a dealer. You could send them a link to the thread and they could read for themselves.
