Approx $900 savings but also caps dealer fees at $100 maximum. x-plan MSRP for discount calculation excludes the freight ($1,100) and protection package ($240).So the X-plan doesn't provide enormous savings, but it's still well worth the $25 membership in the Mustang Club of America.
I need your help! I showed that doc explaining the price protection. But my dealership said he confirmed from a corporate rep that X-Plan cannot be applied with the price protection. What can I do?Your dealership is WRONG. Reference the letter that tells them how to get help from Corporate to do this correctly.
X-Plan is off invoice. Vehicle was invoiced before the price increase. Invoice should clearly show the proper X-Plan price.
Don't know how I'm going to help you.I need your help! I showed that doc explaining the price protection. But my dealership said he confirmed from a corporate rep that X-Plan cannot be applied with the price protection. What can I do?
Yes, he is a manager (actually a friend of my relative, so trying to be helpful). Where should he call?Don't know how I'm going to help you.
Your X-Plan price was fixed with the INVOICE that was produced last year. Clearly states that in the price protection thread. Your dealer should pull up the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement), and it clearly shows the X-Plan price.
There is a department for the dealer to call about Price Protection if they're stupid.
And who is "my dealership"? The GM?
You should read this thread https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/price-protection.14010/Yes, he is a manager (actually a friend of my relative, so trying to be helpful). Where should he call?
Thanks for the information! I sent some information to him and hopefully he finds out how to apply the x-plan.You should read this thread https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/price-protection.14010/
Originally that was what I was told as well. When I asked them to keep on looking at it, because logically it just did not make sense to me, they took another couple of days contacting their "Ford Marketing Rep" to get it straitened out.I need your help! Sorry to bother you again. It seems like you are an expert, so do you know if there is a detailed guide my dealer can follow to pull up the past invoice? I assume they are willing to price protect, but couldn't figure out how to do it for a whole day.You should read this thread https://www.macheforum.com/site/threads/price-protection.14010/
I referred you to the thread, which explained where the dealer can find info, and who to contact if they can't. Did you read that thread? Where does it say they should ask their local Ford rep? Did you ask them to print the DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement) on the car and send it to you?Sorry to bother you again. So far, there has been only small progress that I finally convinced them the price increase DID happen. But they claim that they can't pull up the invoice at the time of order, and all Ford reps they called couldn't help them. And finally, their 'local Ford rep' confirmed this cannot happen. My car is still waiting in their garage...
Yes, I pretty much explained everything. Asked to call the corporate rep, VOPC, and Ford Marketing Rep, and mentioned the past invoice and DORA stuffs. Pointed out they will get the price difference back, etc. It is still very unclear if they actually called or understood what I mentioned as their communication is not clear. They just told me "We cannot figure it out. We have been talking to everyone at Ford. " and "I don't know what else we can do. We are at the mercy of Ford ", so I don't know how to push them further.I referred you to the thread, which explained where the dealer can find info, and who to contact if they can't. You shouldn't say "call the corporate rep, VOCP, and Ford Marketing rep". That just confuses things. The thread told them exactly to call. Even has a video from a dealer. You could send them a link to the thread and they could read for themselves.Yes, I pretty much explained everything. I will try one more time so that they print DORA for me. Really appreciate your help!
