Yet one more good reason to avoid car washes.
You are welcome to come to 0° temps to install a heated supply and drain system in my garage and hand wash it for me until April or May. I advise keeping the water away from my 220v/50a charging outlet. ??

Mine popped open after going through a car wash. Then another time through again a couple weeks later it got completely ripped off. It's gone! Just the little tether piece dangling.

And this just happened to me. Just noticed it this morning walking back to my car. Did you get this fixed at the dealership? how much was it?

The part number for that access cover is LJ8Z-17E811-AAPTM (non GT model like yours) and it runs about $16. It comes primed and ready to paint.

Note: All bumper parts come primed (most all exterior parts also) and need to be painted. Ford (and all other manufacturers) would have to have a massive stock of parts if they carried every part in every color for every vehicle they made?

I would suggest finding a touchless car wash as they won't scratch your paint (over the years) and you wont have that access cover come flying off. I agree it does not take much to remove that cover but if your car wash did that, there must have been a lot of pressure on the brushes against that area.

I'm guessing some of those covers are more secure than others where they attach to the bumper. In the 9 months I had my Premium, never had mine give me problems and I use a pressure washer when I wash my car or use a touchless car wash if I'm out and about.
When I search for that part, it comes up as "Tow Bracket Cover". Is that the right part for the front bumper cover?
