Do not recommend Garmin mini dashcam. Supposedly you can view remote, but that is if you can wire it to the battery with an additional purchase to supply always on power AND if it has access to wifi, so it just doesn’t work. Also, to get the Garmin min cams hooked up to wifi to view what it has recorded, you have to stop the camera from trying to hook up to the Mach e router.

I got the Thinkware front/rear from the Ford accessories website, and I really like it. Front is 4K, rear is 1080p. I can’t see the front camera from the driver’s side, but the rear camera is visible. Don’t buy it from Ford, because they have it marked up by like $200. I used FordPass points, so I got it for “free”.

The markup was twice what I saw it for at Amazon. For some reason that surprised me.

Got the Fitcamx installed in about 30 mins. Really easy install. A few early comments.
The replacement cover fits ok, but not as tight as the original piece.
Installed the rear camera cable down the drivers side headliner. Might switch it to passenger side because the way rear camera fits. It's cord comes out the right side and to make it fit tight to the rear window frame, I mounted it upside down. So the pictures are upside down. Not a big deal.
First impressions are good.

By upside-down, do you mean that the mounting foot is below the camera? I am having a hard time envisioning where you have the rear camera mounted. Mine is mounted to the plastic trim above the rear window, with the mounting foot above the camera. ??

By upside down. The camera is only installed one way if you want the wires installed close to the trim gaps. Which would require it to be installed on the passenger side. I put it on the driver's side, so my photos from the rear camera are upside-down.

CarToys in Everett Washington quoted me $11000 including instal. I said nah. “How about I knock off $100. I walked out. CarToys I’ve experienced both Everett and Lynnwood (Washington) are like sharks.

We must have different rear cameras. Mine has its cables coming out of the middle of the front side of the camera. ??

You can see my rear camera. The unit should be turned 180 degs for the camera to take pics right-side up. The screen shot shows the rear pictures upside down. No big issue for me.

Yeah, that’s a totally different rear camera than the one I got with my FitcamX setup. ?‍♂?

...to be clear, one thousand one hundred dollars, or eleven thousand?

It's there a setting to flip the image? On my Viofo, there is.

Looking to add a dash cam( Front and rear) to my GTPE. Since our cars have been out for a few years now, I am sure there are good aftermarket cams that do the job. Any advice is appreciated.
Do nut purchase or install BlackVue. BlackVue will not back it's products.
