Just bought a 2025 GT.
Interested in installing a dash cam/radar detector that the wires are not visible.
Is there such a thing?
Or, are there radar detectors that are not mounted on the window or dashboard .
I just don’t want wires visible.

I installed the Dongar adapter and it was quite easy. I don’t like visible wires either.

I went to the Dongar website and it was confusing. The adapters listed were for Ford pickups and the Ford Escape. No Mach e. Do they just sell adapters for the power or the camera as well? And how does it work for the Mach e if it isn't listed? Thank you.

I ran wires down to the fuse box for my dash cam through the headliner and the right side A-pillar cover (making sure to keep the wiring on the correct side of the airbag). I would not power both a radar detector and a dashcam off of the mirror power since the circuit's not intended for that much current. So, if you're going to have both you might as well just run wiring to the fuse box to supply both with power and forego the adapter. It'd be the same amount of work and you wouldn't need to pay for an adapter. ?‍♂?

I hardwired a few detectors and cameras over the years, and the easiest way for me this past year was this cable. I hid the wire, and no hard wiring! https://a.co/d/fmhBXQp

I have a Uniden radar detector with RJ11 port. I have looked and don't see a similar 5-pin mirror adapter with a RJ11 option. I can get a USB-to-RJ11 cable, but that is starting to get a bit messy since the cord is 1m length min.
Any better options?
Actually, I found a 1.6 ft. USB-RJ11 adapter by Jsvecip on Amazon. So, I guess that should work find with the Dongar adapter.
Edit: I need 12V for my detector, so the Dongar will not work for me. Still looking...

For radar detection be sure to keep in mind that the glass is IRR coated and the detector will need to be mounted where the black dots at the top of the windshield are. Otherwise you’ll likely run into detection/performance issues.

Been a while since I don’t have my Mustang anymore, but I didn’t wanna click on all the links. But in reference to the dash cam let’s not forget this.
