I'd suggest you go back and read what I wrote in post #15. The issue here is with FordPass, not the car, IMO.
They are dealing with exactly what I went through at the beginning and the first few months of ownership. A SOBDMC module was the fix here. Nothing says they can not become defective or corrupted over time. I think they need their service to see if they can reproduce it at their location with no Fordpass involved. Always resets always will eventually go to 100%. Only way to stop it from going to 100% is to yank out the cable charging it.

Hi!
I am needing some advice. I feel like I’ve read and done everything has been suggested and my car is still charging to 100%. First off the gps in the car thinking I’m charging my neighbors house. Previously it has never been my correct address which was fine because it always recognized me at “home” and did my charging preferences. I have deleted, reset, reentered you name it. It starts by saying I am charging at home (will attach photo below) but then I wake up and it says I’m not charging at home and charges to 100. (Attach second photo) I’m at a loss at what to do.

Elena I thought mine had that issue at first. The mistake was a boneheaded mistake on my part that is almost embarrasting to share and that is in the app when I change the settings, I didn't realize there was a "save" click you had to scroll down to. Also, you can make this change from the car itself also. You may want to try that. In any case, it is a little flaky cause I have mine set to 85% and it wants to charge to 90 for some reason. Good luck.

Update: currently my car is at the dealership. It threw no codes and apparently they called ford to try and trouble shoot things. They plugged it in to try and replicate it but I told them it won’t work, it will be perfect. They gave me a loner for now. They said if it doesn’t pull codes but if they give it back and it happens there some sort of live thing that should be on and they can go in and see it. I’ve shown them all the graphs and even the certified tech came on the forum to check things. I’m prepared to get my car back with no fix and hope for the best.

Sounds like they are trying to help which is good. I know it is a real PITA.

If it can be reproduced there it should be fixed. Drive, charge and maintain itself are high on the list of what is essential for an EV. It took awhile here but Ford engineering came through and based on personnel experience it is not the first time they have seen this and there is a fix.

I did not mean to reply to you but more a general update ? sorry. But yeah, it charged to the % requested but it was only a 5% difference. It was at 80 and they charged to 85. In my opinion it’s not enough for it to shut off. I’m not sure what amp they’re using either, from what I read most dealers only have 30 but I’ll be asking today. I need to drive down tbe % and then charge. It also picks and choses when it wants to do it. I can charge three days in a row and then the next two charges it won’t work. They are definitely super nice I just wish it would do it to them.
Not sure if evidence based stuff like I am-providing them is enough to maybe change the charge port sensor but I doubt it. But my graphs show exactly what it’s doing. The other thing they are saying is it’s possible it’s an app issue and not a car issue. Meaning the communication between the app and car. Possible app over ride. We shall see.

Welp ford has had my car for two weeks so far. Luckily they gave me a loaner but I miss my car ? they found nothing. Tried to see if it A. Would ignore my charge setting and B. Stop charging like it does at home. They couldn’t replicate it. I sent them all my “proof” and they have escalated it to ford engineers apparently and I guess I’m just waiting to hear back. Not sure what the plan is or if they will figure it out. They’ve been super nice and glad they are trying to find the problem but I feel like it’s just a big waiting game.

Sorry if this was already asked, but by chance does your car's GPS have your car at your house?
I only ask because lately my MME's GPS is WAY off, like 30 miles at times. It hasn't been at "home" in a couple of weeks and it's been charging to 100% since this has been happening.

yes it shows it “at home” I even did what some users suggested and used the navigation and set the coordinates it said I was at as my “home” location. It’s weird because sometimes it charges fine and others it ignores it.
