Ok, wasn't expecting that. Good to know. ?
I apologize, I swear I can read. Angle 4 is the one I saw in fordpass. The angle in the widget is not one of the 5 available. See the screenshot.

That looks like what I see for angle=1 in the app. I'm not going to guess what FP shows... ever.

For what it's worth, I'm planning to have future versions show one of the images randomly in the widget, just to make my life more difficult.

Well, not really, if it's seems to be only showing random images anyway.

Interesting.. My phone is not rooted so I can't explore the app folder (it displays no files) but according to Fords DigitalServices the only image available for my vehicle is angle 4 and that is the one displayed in the large widget. All other angles gives me "Unsupported angle".

It looks like angle 1 is correct for the widget. I swear yesterday it wasn't showing a match. Send I've probably been more of a hindrance than a help. Sorry for all the confusion on my part

I tried my VIN with countryCode=SWE (I assume that's your code) and only angle 4 works, but I see my vehicle. Can you try your with countryCode=USA and see if the other angles work? Particularly angle=5; that seems like it might be the best image for me to use.

Yeah I have already tried that but it only returns an internal server error (500). Not even angle 4 works unless I use SWE as country.

Edit: I have tried with other european country codes and the only supported angle seems to be 4 for EU vehicles.

Uploaded version 2022.07.16 to GitHub and Play Store. The main change is the auto-selection of the vehicle color. If you already assigned a color, you can use this by choosing the "Auto" button in the Set Vehicle Color activity. Note: this only works with a specific view (angle 4), so if that isn't available then you won't see the "Auto" button.

Uploaded version 2022.07.20 to GitHub and Play Store. This version (and 2022.07.18) had some bug fixes, but the main change is support for Ford Kuga vehicles built in Europe. Since the only other European vehicle prior to this was the Mach-E, please let me know if you see something weird.

While we were at it, we threw in something for Puma vehicles. I'm trying to get better info on how to recognize their VINs, so if you know of someone who owns one feel free to have them check it out and open an issue on GitHub if something doesn't work.

Thanks to @consp for the Kuga code and for helping decode the VINs (we think).

I've pushed out a beta version to GitHub which uses the status information read from the servers rather than the VIN to determine whether a vehicle is a BEV, PHEV, or ICE. I'd appreciate anyone who's willing to try it out letting me know via GitHub/DM/a post here if it works for you or not. The current release is still here if you need to go back. Be sure to back up your settings first in case you need to go back. Thanks.

Uploaded version 2022.07.31 (repeatedly) to GitHub and Play Store this morning. Unfortunately the first post of the day had a bug I was convinced I'd fixed, so I immediately fixed it and pushed out another copy trying to beat the few who might have seen the notification in the app. And then ten minutes later found another obvious problem on the full size widget. The link above contains the last version I'm posting today unless something fatal shows up, in case you already updated.

Would a notification if the car's plugged in but not charging be useful? If so, when an/or how often should it appear? Asking since the car was supposed to start charging at midnight and, well...

It would be useful if we can turn it off and on. I might want to use it when charging at a free public charger, to remind me to move my car. But I usually monitor that pretty closely as I don't want it sitting there not charging for any period of time.

Uploaded version 2022.08.20 to GitHub and Play Store. You can read the changelog to see what's new (not a whole lot) but there is support for Android 13. If you're on Android 13, be sure to open the app since notifications now require the user to give permission.

Be forewarned that I've included a brief (2 question) survey about app usage; you will see a notification which takes you to the main instruction screen. It only appears once so it won't pester you, but please take a few seconds to provide feedback.

Hmm, maybe it is because the app was updated and not a new install, but it automatically had the notification permission for me.
