Sure. How do I run logcat on my phone?
I use Logcat Reader, available on the Play store, but it requires either root access or the need to run adb to enable permissions to read the logs. If you already need to use adb, it's probably just easier to use it to get the log directly. To do that, download the tools here then from the command line run "adb logcat -b crash" and send that output.

Same thing is happening to me. Samsung Note 9, Android 10. My phone is not rooted. I can try abd tonight unless someone else does it first.

Updated this morning. Crashed on opening. Force stop, clear data (not just cache). Logged in, working fine. S20FE/Android 12

Ok, definitely sounds like I didn't get the backward compatibility stuff working. Glad it's working at least. If someone else can still capture the logcat output I'd like to track down the problem.

I did what Len did and now it opens like normal and does not crash.

It is at the dealer and I can see they have the frunk, driver and passenger doors open! Very cool. You have done great work!

Version 2022.02.08 uploaded. This is mainly a bugfix release, although I didn't get any logcats regarding the crashes some were reporting so those may still be present. Probably the only noticeable change is I moved the "About" section to the Settings menu, which includes a link to the GitHub repo so you don't need to search for that.

Hopefully all of you find out about this through a notification (the repo currently is checked every hour, so you may still find out here first).

I noticed on my phone yesterday that the refresh doesn't always sync when I expected it. I found on Android 12 this is by design and can be up to 10 minutes late, especially when the phone is dozing. There appear to be ways to get around this, but in the meantime be aware you may want to set the update interval to something shorter, or set the interval to "Never" and just manually refresh when you want to update.

I got the new version notification. Downloaded the newer apk but it just gives me this.

I've only seen that when I'm testing unreleased versions.

You can get around it by uninstalling the current one, then installing the new APK.

That worked. This was the first time the update failed for me.

Also, I may have just missed it, but where do I set what units the app uses? It shows km instead of miles for everything.

I don't have a user setting for that; it's supposed to be using the units specified in your profile. Were the units right with the prior version?

No, I just hadn't gotten around to posting about it. It's always shown km.

I have the units set in fordpass correctly, if thats where you mean by my profile.

Yes, when you log into FordPass the profile returns info about the speed, distance, and pressure units. I don't use the distance setting but assume if speed is MPH then distance is miles.

Go ahead an open an issue on GitHub. Maybe other are seeing the same thing and I'd like to get more data. In the meantime, it's not difficult to add a manual setting for these.

I uninstalled the last version before updating to the new build.

Everything is working great on Android 12 on the Z Fold 3.

I just updated. I have Samsung S21 Android 12. The list of connected apps only shows 2 apps now. Fordpass and waze. It use to show a long list of apps which I had linked to my charger app. I uninstalled both ford pass and this app reinstalled fordpass and logged in. Reinstalled this app and relogged in. It also says OTA status is unavailable. Widget seems to be connected to fordpass/car and has lock and tire info.

Never mind. Reinstalled and made sure I set up everything in settings and all seems to be working ok.

I suspect that under Settings that "Allow any app to be linked..." was disabled? It is disabled by default.
