App version 2022.02.11, hasn't update the widget for 3 days now.
I'm having the same problem. Ford Pass has updated but not the widget.

Version 2022.02.17 is out on GitHub. This version now has an option to store your FordPass login credentials in the situation where the access token is lost and the app needs to re-authenticate with Ford's servers. The username and password are stored locally and are encrypted, but as this is my first use of encryption I'm open to anyone reviewing my code to assure that it's satisfactory.

Edit: someone asked when the credentials are saved. You need to turn on the setting, then log into your Ford account. Turning on the settings alone doesn't work, because... (wait for it)... it didn't remember your credentials before to save now.

02.17 is working for me and I didn't save my credentials. Widget refreshes properly.

Not having any luck with 2.17 build. Mine has not updated in a week.

Did you select to save your credentials then log back in? The 2.17 build hasn't been out for a week.

Yup, saved credentials and all. I even did a force stop, wipe cache and data to start from scratch and no luck. Still showing data from 2.13. New S22+ coming tomorrow. Will worry about it then.

Version 2022.02.22 is out on GitHub. The main change in this version will not be of much interest to most here; I've started adding support for F-150 trucks. (If you care to use it, there's a toggle setting for F-150 Mode in Settings.) However, if you notice something odd with your Mach-E's status, let me know.

For those who've had issues with the app still not updating on a regular basis: I suspect some of the issue may be with how Android handles background tasks in order to save battery. My suggestion is to find where your phone sets the battery usage for the app, and change it to "unrestricted" or "not optimized". Note that the app normally only runs when it's time to refresh data, so should you see increased battery usage set the time between widget refreshes to a longer interval.

For those who may have missed it, there is a link to donate via PayPal on the GitHub page.

This app and its widget are worth supporting in my humble opinion.

I added the Paypal link yesterday largely for the F-150 users, to help pay for the purchase of graphic elements (there are a lot of variations on the F-150). On the Mach-E side, I've personally only purchase one graphic which may someday make it into the app. Since I will donate any unused funds to charity anyway, feel free to cut out the middle man and donate to a charity yourself (and get the tax deduction).

Do you know if anyone has reviewed your use of stored credentials? I'm not an android developer so it would be tough for me. Nervous about using it without others vetting it.

No one has commented.

TBH, I've been running the latest version continuously for over a week, and there is only one time it's needed to re-authenticate (and that was before I turned off battery optimizations, but that could be a coincidence). 673 successful refreshes to 1 failure, so the credentials don't seemed to be needed often. Your mileage may vary.

I wasn't sure because even when I went into the app and requested a refresh, it wouldn't update. I set the battery settings to unrestricted so I'll see what happens.

Version 2022.02.26 is out on GitHub. Mostly additions on the F-150 sides, but again if you see anything strange let me know.
