Any major issues on your Mach E

I'm new to this forum and I was curious to see how many members have had issues with their vehicles. I'm expecting my Mach E in October.

I have stuck software but I can drive the car perfectly every day without problems. I wouldn't say it's a major issue.

I had the stuck software that was supposedly "fixed" with 22-2117 but I'm still not getting regular OTA updates. To me, this is a major software problem on Ford's part. Part of the beauty of our cars was that they would be able to be updated remotely and kept current on their software which is not happening. Most others don't seem to have this problem but for the "lucky" group of us that do, Ford doesn't seem to be able to correct this problem for our cars in many instances.

I'm trying not to get angry about it but I do feel quite the same about the situation as you do. However, if you are getting a new car then it shouldn't have this issue I would not think.

What's a "major issue"? Totally subjective. Car died and had to be towed? Sure. You didn't get BlueCruise, as promised, yet? No.

I think you'd be better off reading the forum to see the many issues that people experienced, whether they've been resolved on later production, and how that might affect you.

You’re not going to get any consistency in that poll. Some people will say the inability to keep liver pate cold and safe in the Frunk is a major problem While others will ignore the fact that the car has been bricked at the dealer for 90 days and not mention it. Some will likely just bitch because they’re never had to wait for a car before

There’s been a lot of issues it’s a brand new product and a brand new delivery system. Lots of fun and exciting reading awaiting you. Dive in!

I totally agree with you. They didn't have a category for what I consider to be a serious (software) issue but something less than a major mechanical problem.

21035 miles in 2021 Mach E's in 11 months. 11300 in a Job 1 and 9800 in a Job 2. Zero issues other than recalls on the Job 1. No issues with software, electronics, options etc. PAAK (no fob) used exclusively (with a few minor hiccups) since December 7 2021. 8400 Miles on exclusively on PAAK.

My suggestion (if Apple product) reboot your phone and restart Ford Pass every day before you leave the house.

The boot up in the Sync software when going in Reverse and back to Forward (to Back up camera) etc is a little slow. So be patient transitioning from Reverse and back to Forward. There is a lag on the screen of 3-8 seconds. To me it's not a major issue, it just needs some patience.

The only major issue (rendering vehicle un-drivable) I had was failure of the center console screen.... replaced under warranty, no problems since.

My problem has nothing to do with the car. My problem is that one or more of FordPass’ servers don’t like my email address (a hyphen in the address), which forced the app to believe that I needed to set up PaaK, even though I am using PaaK exclusively. Seems like a stupidly easy fix to identify the server or subroutine in question and then expand the acceptable character set from alphanumeric to the full set that is legal to use. Eh, what do I know? First computer I ever programmed was with a stack of 40 column cards. ??‍?

I answered yes to issues in my 2021 but I think your poll really misses the big issue: did Ford fix the problem promptly. I'd recommend adding that to the poll, especially considering some of us who received the really early builds solved the problems later cars would not have to experience.

Just coming to the defense of the OP here...
It is of course challenging to design a scientifically valid poll here and ambiguities are inevitable given the subjective nature of how one defines "major." If folks think the data are useless ignore them. But I actually think it helps provide more of a sense than just reading through the forum since you get a better feel for the denominators. Folks always talk about how people tend to post their bad experiences, this poll, with appropriate caveats expressed by several above, provides some opportunity to counter that selection bias
