Belt and suspenders. We've got the modernspare.com kit as well as a tire repair kit and the OEM inflator/slime. We only take the spare on trips though.

you might have a nail or screw embedded at which point loss would be slow (this happened to me on two separate tires). Or you could have a faulty valve stem or loose valve stem core. Take it to discount tire or someplace like that, they patch punctures for free
Thanks Bro
Do they really do it for free? is there a catch? Free often gives me red flags.

for free, I've done it twice, I was really impressed, after they pulled and plugged the tire, they went around and check torque settings on all four wheels!! No gimmick. But I did end up buying some black lug nuts for my nite pony wheels.

Same here. Lost about a pound a day, had a nail. Discount tire fixed it, no charge.

Had a flat due to puncture in the tread. Went down fast, but was able to get to the side of the highway safely. The slime was useless as the hole must have been too large or something. Bought a separate can of fix a flat and then looking at Modern Spare as well. I will not drive without a spare ever again. Had to get flatbed to tow me for for something I could have swapped a tire on in minutes. Maybe Ford should sell an optional spare to go in the frunk or something.

We picked up a drywall screw on the off-ramp next to our Vegas hotel a year and half ago. TPMS warning came on at about 30 PSI. Was losing 2-3 PSI per minute. I checked the phone real fast and found a Discount Tire across the street. Headed there but the bays were full at the time. Parked in the lot and they said they could just jack it up there that afternoon. No problem.

Until the scissor jack got caught on a pebble or something on the pavement when lowering the car, and slipped off. Crunched the door panel. ? But they were good about it. Wasn't so bad that we couldn't finish the trip and drive it home. Their insurance covered everything to get it fixed near our home.

I remember reading a similar story here (maybe yours?). I believe it said when they went to get the car Discount explained what happened and had all the insurance paperwork ready. Lousy that it happened but when it does, nice when someone just owns it and does the best they can to rectify it. I’m thinking that story said they jacked it up at the wrong spot on the car, so maybe someone else?

Yes, I relayed the story back at the time too. I think they jacked the right spot. It was off just a few inches from the marked spot but it was on the same frame rail so I don't think that was the problem. My assumption is that the marked spot is more to make sure they don't go any further inward where it could damage the battery pack.

The consensus seemed to be that the scissor jack has to be able to roll in/out while being raised/lowered, and that the uneven surface of the asphalt parking lot instead of the concrete floor of the inside bay is probably what cause it. Or a wheel just caught a pebble or something. Of course, they could have just been sloppy too and didn't get it seated in far enough on the rail too (maybe afraid of touching the battery pack). All we can do is speculate, but I could see the imprint of where it was jacked when it slipped and it seemed to be the generally correct place.
