Ford provides free roadside assistance, including towing, for 5 years. You're paying for two other towing services...
AAA membership is pretty cheap, and it covers our other car too. And I believe AAA's network of towing companies is larger than Ford's, so response times will be much faster on average.

I have had AAA for the last 35 plus years for all my cars not just the MME. Based on some of absolutely dismal responses and issues posted on the Forum, I would not use Ford's tow service first. My insurance has always had a tow service rider since it cheap and covers the long term towing that AAA does not always cover, based on my policy. Of course, you can get unlimited towing but not as cheap as my insurance. I look at AAA and my supplemental towing, like all insurance. It is a waste of money until you need it and then it is absolutely invaluable. Each person has to chose what they feel is important to them. This is something I want, but other may not.

I had a big tear in the driver rear this past weekend, on the sidewall, of mysterious origin. Limped to Pep Boys and got a replacement tire. Today the passenger rear is low. Again, didn't run over anything that I know of. ~9800 miles on the car, AWD.
Somebody with Mustang envy maybe, seems odd.

I got a flat in January, but the tire blew when I hit a pot hole. I live in Washington and we spend road tax on bike lanes not asphalt repair. With a flat we had to have it towed, the tow went well and the local dealer got my tire replaced in a couple days. Definitely not as easy as the old spare.
Ruby was only one week old when I hit a curb in a driving rain storm, doing about 50 mph.
I knew the side-wall tear wasn't going to be fixed with the supplied goo and pump, but I tried it anyhow. Didn't fill the tire, but it did provide enough lubrication so that I could get the car home. The tire stayed in-tact and it stayed on the rim, 7 miles at <20 mph (most of the time it was <15).

Called the dealer - it would take 2 weeks to get a tire in. Called Tire Rack, they had it in stock and could deliver to a local NTB. Called the NTB, they said they would order direct from Tire Rack - $287 installed. Paid another $155 and they put Road Hazard on all 4 tires. In 2 days, I was back on the road.

BTW - I have a standard Quick Jack. It is rated 5000#, so it picked the MME with no problems. Just need to double up the jack pads so that the jack-rails don't touch the aluminum battery rails. Once it was lifted, I removed the tire and wheel to get the new one installed.

Okay, somehow picked up a wooden shank in the tread right at the shoulder of the inner sidewall. No bueno on a repair. At least drivable to shops and home, but am hobbled at the moment.

FWIW, the pump worked well, and the slow leak rate allowed me to avoid the goo fill.

Conti PremiumContact 6's are the OEM set, and they are not available anytime soon. Any suggestions on a suitable single tire replacement?

As an alternative I was considering buying a new set of all season tires, not that we have seasons in NorCal anymore. Any thoughts on a suitable version of those, or go with the big box recommendation?

Nice to know! I too have a Quick Jack rated 5000#, and already have two sets of pucks so sounds like I'm all set -- That Quick Jack is going to come in handy installing the trailer hitch. Hoping to have the car by the end of June.

I haven't, my advice is to buy a plug kit also. Don't use slime or products like slime because they will destroy your TPM sensor.

Plug kit & compressor are temporary solutions but will get you to the closest repair shop in most circumstances.

I bought a kit from them. It's sitting in my shed waiting for the car to arrive. Looks to be very sturdy and well constructed. Big scissors jack, lug wrench, spare wheel/tire in roughly the same overall diameter as the stock wheel/tire on a MME, and a cover/bag that makes it easy to put the whole shebang in the car or take it out for storage at home. Used the jack to raise a corner of the Lincoln without issue.

I've got a slow leak in my drivers side rear tire that I cant find anything causing. Even tightened the valve core (but haven't replaced it yet). Scared to death to take it in for inspection at a shop with a water tank because of the lift points. It would certainly have been nicer if they included a jack and/or spare for times like this.
I've got the exact same thing, no punctures I can see all of the sudden I got a low pressure warning. Filled it up and it seems to lose 1 psi a week...

you might have a nail or screw embedded at which point loss would be slow (this happened to me on two separate tires). Or you could have a faulty valve stem or loose valve stem core. Take it to discount tire or someplace like that, they patch punctures for free
