Anyone else experiencing any EV hate after getting your Mach E?

Once upon a time I was in Anchorage for the ceremonial start of the Iditarod Race. I had worked all night the day before from Asia and was groggy when I looked out my window bright and way too early in the morning. I could’ve sworn I saw a sled across the street (near the start) and it had nothing but standard poodles. So, I threw my winter clothes on and trudge on over there because obviously I needed coffee. I got coffee on the way out of the hotel and nope, my eyes weren’t lying, it was a team of standard poodles. Poodles in the Iditarod! I ended up talking to some nice lady* in a full length fur coat for quite awhile about just this
thing we were seeing.

* Dorthy Hamill as it turned out. I was too tired to notice it was her (at least until someone asked for her autograph). Besides, we were bundled up.

The top 5 crude oil exporters to the USA in 2021 were (in order, highest to lowest): Canada, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Columbia.

2022 will look quite different. In the meantime though, you need to blame those pesky Canadians. Or something.

True, however, from what I understand, oil (unlike coal) is a global commodity traded on the world market, so any added demand for oil indirectly benefits Saudi Arabia and all the oil exporters that are not friendly to the US, no matter which country the oil is actually bought from.

Ironically the only real negative feedback I have got about our MachE was at the Union hall..

I bought both of my Prii (a 2005 Prius, and a 2012 Plug-in Prius) not so much for the gas savings, but rather the neat technology that allowed it to achieve such high gas mileage. And I absolutely had no issues with doing 75+ commuting 46 miles to work. When traveling from SF to LA, I frequently would get stuck behind slow-ass Porsche and BMW drivers in the left lane who were doing 75 and I would pass them on the right doing 85.

I think the only thing I had to deal with was a young, idiot redneck that tried to roll coal on me. He had to push his ride hard to get in front of new, cutting me off in the process. A couple of puffs came out and then he started weaving while trying to figure out what happened. By that time I had enough and hit the “get around idiots” pedal and was gone.

I’ve received all positive comments on the car and people asking what it is. I also haven’t noticed any negative behavior from other drivers on the road. However, I have had a few people say that it’s really not better for the environment because of the fossil fuel power plants for charging and the building and disposing of the batteries.
