I am thinking about adding one. Anyone else have one? If so, thoughts on owning a mache and lightning? Anything to consider before deciding?

Quite a few of us have both.

Lightning is less efficient, uses about 40% more energy. Charging on the same speed charger will therefore take more time.
Lightning (Lariat) has cooled seats, Mach-E (Premium0 does not.
Lightning is more comfortable.
Lightning is faster.
It is bigger, and not as easy to park.
Due to the bigger battery, plan traveling carefully. Awakening to 100% at your hotel is almost never going to happen unless you carefully figure your arrival SOC.
Mach-Es are a dime a dozen here at this point. Lightnings are rarer.

I have the base model Lightning Pro with ER battery and higher output ProPower along with my Premium AWD ER MME.

Agree with all above but will add that the Lightning seems to benefit from the high volume F-150 especially in the interior setup. Seems better thought out and better fit/finish.

The AC outlets are a big benefit for potential home back up, test it ahead of time. Bonded ground is a big hassle, it is not intuitive. I rarely have outages, so it is more peace of mind than practical use so far.

I don't road trip much, the Lightning charges a bit faster if the DCFC has the output. Significantly less efficient but travel felt much the same in the two of them as far as effective range and charge time. Larger battery and slightly faster charger kind of cancelled each other out, the bill is higher for the Lightning though.

I take trips in my Lightning because it has a greater range than my GT-PE and I think it's more comfortable for long drives. Plus I can tow or haul things when I go to visit the kids. My GT has been very reliable, it just gets about 40 miles less range per charge (to 80%) than I can get on the Lightning. So taking trips...it's all about the charging stops. At least we can use Superchargers now.

I would look for a '22 model with the extended battery. Pro or Lariat.

If I were getting rid of any EVs my Lightning would be the last to leave.

I own both. Nothing to add to what’s in the previous posts.
I will reiterate that the Lightning is far more comfortable. If road tripping and not in a big hurry, I’ll take the Lightning. If I am in a big hurry, I take the PHEV (XC90 Recharge).

I thought I loved my Mach E, and then I got a lightning… My wife now drives the MME.

ETA: the only downfall is I only use PAAK on both and I have to go into FordPass and switch vehicles. I can’t just have the Lightning open in FordPass and drive off in the MME.

Mach-E and KingRanch Powerboost.

I know it's not exactly what you are contemplating, but they go together like peaches & cream. ?

The versatility and utility they provide combined is something that would be considered science fiction most of my near 70 years on the planet. I would love to have written an essay on what I would be driving in 2024 back when I was in High School. (early 70's)
I would have been laughed at.

Get a nice charcoal cabin air filter, your lightning will be coal-rolled. Of course you do have the option to leave the coal-roller in the dust! With the independent rear suspension, my lightning is the smoothest vehicle I've ever driven and I just read a post about a 12.7 second 1/4 mile run with a lightning!

2022 Premium and 2023 Lightning Lariat. I find the driving position in the Mach e more comfortable for long trip.

Lightning is faster, but Mach e is more agile. My wife wanted the truck, she likes to be above the traffic on congested highways. We both charge at home, sharing the Ford mobile charger.

I have both. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. Happy with both but would rather have 2 Lightning's.
