Apple Maps and communication issue

Today on the way home had an interesting issue. My car was at 68%, used Apple Maps to route home (I know the way but like using it every now and again) and Apple Maps stated I would arrive with 79% charge. Dang, I knew regenerative braking was good, but not that good.

About 10 minutes in, Siri told me that Apple was “not able to communicate with the EV”

anyone else run into this?

I have this a few times a month. I use Maps daily. It usually resolves itself after a few minutes.

Sometimes its just a bug that happens. It will either resolve itself in a bit or on your next drive.

If it happens on a long drive where you actually need the EV charger routing then you can try turning wifi off and on in the phone or rebooting the phone and then connect CarPlay again.

Things like that and car play just quiting at its own whim are why I left Apple and moved back to Android.

Android currently has a problem with Google Maps not sharing destination distance with the gauge cluster.

There is no perfect system.

Anyone having issues with connecting via CarPlay?

Since yesterday evening mines isn't connecting.

Only when I do something stupid, like wipe my phone and rebuild it. or initial setup and settings have carplay disabled.

Once its working, I've found it solid.
Prime music, and Waze mostly.

Cell reception is much better than XM radio, but cell reception dropouts can affect apps, and happens rarely here. In the boonies, who knows.

Well turned my phone off/on and boom CarPlay is back
