How do you like your Rogue? I've heard that Nissan interiors don't always hold up well over time but I'm hoping that since this is Nissan's next big thing that they really focus on quality, especially given the price. This car is really compelling for me and I've put in a reservation.
I love my rogue. I got the leather interior and it's held up very well. I don't commute very far so low mileage but it's 6 years old and looks great.

I was looking forward to maybe buying one but Nissan is a shaky car company at best. Ford was a better bet for me.

The more EV's the better. I'm partial to the Mach-E but am glad everyone else is getting in. Thank goodness Elon pushed the industry this direction.

I've been a Kia guy for many years (3 in a row) before the Mach E. Interested to how the EV6 plays out. Kia is so good with there product dependability and craftsmanship. Of course they made their name by providing all the bells and whistles at a low price. Not sure that's the case with their ev line.

Yeah, appreciate more competition. Exterior is fine, the same boring Nissan styling as anything else. Only so many ways you can make a crossover. The interior though is a hard pass. Horizontal center screen is nice, I prefer it over portrait mount like the MME, but then capacitive buttons below, yuck. There is no situation where that is a better design move than physical buttons. At least the MME put everything on a screen so you can have other functionality while dealing with touch controls.

I really hope that fad dies, and fast. Also looks like a lot of other glossy/maybe piano black surfaces around the screens on the Platinum. That is an interior that will only look good in pictures and after you clean it, but it will require frequent cleaning to stay that way.

My F-150 has the 12" horizontal mounted screen with physical HVAC and Radio controls below, it is the king of the mountain in form and function for having a large screen but usable controls underneath. Nissan would have won way more points if they did the same IMO.

FWD is just a bad idea for an EV. And AWD is too expensive for what it is.

At least they put the charge port on the right side in case Superchargers open up... lol.

Like some have said, lots of EV's is good, if they ever get here. I'm dying to see the EV6 or Ioniq 5, but I've given up hope on them, or that a dealer would let them go for anything less than a $10K markup. Here's a Tuscon Hybrid for $49K,

New 2022 Hyundai Tucson Hybrid Limited For Sale $49,140

The Ariya is weird. FWD and the price / range ratio is pretty low comparable to the alternatives. The loaded one looks OK, and maybe if it's got a HUD, better ground clearance, etc., maybe. And it is priced for a year from now and the Model Y might be $70K by then so maybe it makes sense.

I had an Altima Hybrid for several years. Weird car, once I changed the tires it dropped to like 28 mpg. There was literally no point to the hybrid, it did nothing, but not a single problem. It was comfortable, with lots of headroom, and not too slow, I think around 7 seconds 0-60, which was fine for 2008ish times.

Not for sale until Fall 2022, so ignoring that...
Depending on ride quality (based on specs, it should be better than Mach E premium) the AWD PLATINUM+ could be a good option compared to the Mach E PE as the PE is rather pricy and the only option with an upgraded suspension to consider instead of the premium AWD.

As the OP said, it's design is uninspired, but I don't mind a sleeper vehicle. To me, it's far more important how it drives than what it looks like.

I suspect they have done what it seems Tesla has been edging towards recently believing that the tax credit is coming back to them, and pricing their MSRP so they can sell customers on the bargain it is after tax credit.

Not claiming Ford isn't also using the tax credit for marketing, of course they are. The MSRP just doesn't make a lot of sense for what it offers on the lowest trim level (mid 7-second 0-60...) unless you look at the text right under it where it claims mid $40k after tax credit. Then for an EV, to many shoppers, it may seem more agreeable.

7 seconds is still plenty quick for most anyone for daily driving, but at a $50k starting price point I don't think it's unreasonable to expect more, especially since I think most all of its price comparable competitors are quicker.

Not something that I would really be in the market for, but I will say I wish we got a nice dark green for the MME.
Heh, we got a pretty bad color palette on the MME. I don’t even really like the color on mine. It’s just OK. ??‍♂

The 300 mile range one is about $5k less than the CA Route1, so for someone looking for long range at the lowest cost. Depends on real world range though.

Nissan has always had some of the most comfortable seats in the industry. They don't skimp on things like thigh support. The infinity product line was always close to awesome.

I was hoping for a little bit more from the design.

Only GM has managed to get FWD EV's right. Low $30k. Anything above that needs to come with at least RWD.

Well at least they have price and configuration out there for a car not coming until late 2022. Meanwhile, Ford is waiting for this tax bill to see how much more they can charge on the Lightning.
