I like everything about the XC40 Recharge except the range. To me 208 miles or whatever is just DOA
yep, that is what inside ev said also. Think about only 80% charge as it says to charge to. With cold weather at 75 mph. You would be lucky to get 130 miles of range.

Have to say I'm interested, but waiting on price, real specs and such.

0-60 in 6.2 does seem very slow for a dual-motor version?
That will be the 0-62 time (0-100kph) so you can knock a bit off for the 0-60 time, it will also no doubt be a time devoid of 1ft roll out nonsense.

Audi like most of the German premium manufactures also tend to be quite conservatives with the 0-62 times which can end up measuring faster however that tends to happen more with the sportier models. One would assume at some point a q4-s variant will be added similar to the e-tron with a bit more get up and go

Still looks like gas car and MME looks lot better than Q4.. One area MME stands is for the looks, after one month with MME every 1 in 3 ppl asked about the car...
I don't have a problem with gas car looks in general, but I hate those with extra large grilles. It's like a disease that infected Lexus/Toyota and Audi, and has now spread to BMW as well.

What's going to kill this is it's NOT the same price as a Mach-E.
You don't find base model Audis on lots, you find Prestige S-line Audis.
This is a 70k dollar 45k dollar car if you know what I mean.

It will siphon some Tesla owners maybe - I feel people will more likely cross shop this and the Polestar 2. It might kill the polestar ultimately.

If you haven't driven an Audi in a few years, then the Mach-e will likely feel more Audi then this thing. I lasted owned a 2012 Q5 Prestige S Line with the 3.2 engine. It's the closest in feel to the Mach E I can reference. New Audis don't feel like this.

I am telling you - at least where I live - Kia EV6 is going to be the Tesla killer.

At the end of the day there aren't people lusting after Teslas "someday" - most Tesla day dreamers already bought their entry level Y/3s. Now people are like "maybe I should get a Mach E" if they are ford people and "maybe I should check out the EV6 GT" if they are hot hatch people and "maybe I should get an XC40 Recharge" if they are NPR fans or Chevy Bolts if they are just old school hyper millers.

Tesla will remain the biggest piece of the pie for awhile, but they aren't going to grow the market share.

70% of mache buyers are coming from other manufacturers. That is a huge number.
This Audi will start around 45,000 to 46,000 and go up to 65,000.
Again nothing jumps out about the ability about it compared to other upcoming BEV.

Most of the buyers will be Audi loyal people. That is not enough to help audi considering all the other bev coming out. It just doesn't move the needle.

I like both the EV6 and the Ioniq5, but have heard varying accounts of their pricing. Hoping they start high 30s, low 40s, but doubt it. Could definitely talk my wife into replacing her BMW with one of them when her lease is up this fall. Or maybe the ID4.

True. I'm seriously considering the Mach-E, and I've never owned a Ford.
Really not impressed so far with what the VW Group has offered regarding BEVs.
Kia/Hyundai however, I like what they're doing ?

Not necessarily. The Q4 will have a nicer interior, build quality will probably be significantly better, and the lux badge is a selling point for many. Also, the Audi will likely lease much better than what we see on the Mach E. One could make the same comparison between the Mach E and Model Y, and determine that the Mach E is dead on arrival.

Yes, that Hyundai/Kia model looks pretty good. The Audi will do well too, because a lot of people want a lux badge and ownership experience when dropping $50K on a car.

The Hyundai Looks great to me in all specs. The kia time will tell. But both of them will move the needle depending on final pricing and options.

I agree some will want that. But the price has to be right. Audi had to cut 10,000 to 15,000 off of the etron to get them to sell and still it's just enough. Ford sold the same amount of mache as audi sold in the whole year last year with the etron in north america. That is with January shipping being delayed.

Again your loyal audi people, yes they will buy it. They love audi. But to get other people to jump ship, you have the mache, model y, Nissan,Kia, Hyundai all moving the needle. If audi wants it to sell then price it at 38,000 starting and 50,000 top of the line. Then it might have a chance.

Your normal people comparing the different models are going to see its at the bottom of just about all of the major points of a BEV. It needs to have been cancelled and redone.

I love Audi. Still traded it in for my Mach-e, which I believe is the best car I’ve ever owned.
Audis are great. So are Infinitis. But man did they do a great job on the Mach-e.

never had interest in a Tesla. Couldn’t afford the one I would get.

Yeah, but that’s slower than other non S and RS Audis.
