Axle clunk

What was the temperature when you hear the klunk? I'm only hearing it on mine when it is cold, like under 30F.

Do you hear the noise when turning in one particular direction, or both?

Might be the other "noise" that some have mentioned here, and @Mirak alluded to. One is being resolved with half shafts, the other MIGHT be a front motor replacement? No success stories reported on the latter that I know of... yet.

I had my front left half shaft replaced and it did not correct the issue. I do hear it on the right side, but it’s not as frequent as the left.

The noise started as a louder THUNK, took it to the dealership, they confirmed the noise but couldn’t find the issue. Sent it to Ford, they told them to take a couple of the guards off the bottom of the car - they felt it was a plastic guard that wasn’t fitting correctly. That didn’t work, but It changed the sound of the noise to a “click click click”.

For those that the half shaft didn’t fix the problem - what is the next step?

Mid-January built here. VIN was in the 6000's for me. I think for actual customer cars the last four of the VINs started with a 5000s # iirc.

I am also a mid-January build and having this issue.

Dealer had my car for 3 days and said they could not hear the noise. I explained it was only on low speed sharp turns. They said they inspected the half shafts and they were fine. Picked it up late today and I could still hear it clearly . Not sure what to do next.

Oh well, not only am I waiting for the axle issue to be resolved, the roof recall, the new Sync Module, the new Heated screen, screen brightness (or lack of it) to be resolved..... The car decided to lose all power whilst at 60mph in the outside land of the dual carriageway so I coasted to a stop. Restarted after a few minutes and got propulsion and now I have had a powertrain fault for 2 days... Joy! Into the dealers again.....

I dont think mine is temperature related as it was happening in the summer too

Mine is more of a "click click click" and it's been occuring since the summer, so not temperature related

Is this the clicking/knocking? Mine is now off the road as needs new SYNC module and a new ABS module.... as well as the roof recall, new windscreen for faulty heating elements, and new half shafts. Can't tell me when the parts will be available!
